the drag link is an excellent mod. it has more steering than stock, it's stronger and it does not hangup at all.

the golds in the rear will greatly improve the handling of the truck. the stock greys are way to heavy a spring for this chassis.

Sweet! Thanks for the advice Jeremy!

Here are couple updates to the BJ4 along with Jeremy's reccomendations.

Lunsford 140mm rod with Jato ends. Hopefully Lunsford will make one made specific for the XR10 soon.

Moved the rear lower links up to the shock mount and took a die grinder to remove the bottom mount. Also installed the losi golds on the rear along with JeepInDoug's Cups all around.

Top view. No binding or hitting anywhere.

After all was done, I checked all the dimensions. The wheel base shrank slightly from 12 7/16 to 12 3/8 and the ride height remains unchanged.

Let's see a shot from the side with the rear tires removed.

I have seen a few people make this mod to the XR10. Does it really make that much of a difference? I am curious, i might do this to mine. Thanks

Like Jeremy(krawlfreak) said above, it gives you a bit more steering and it also eliminates all the slop the stock setup has. So with that said I believe it does makes enough difference to do this mod.

There is a possibility that I may clock it up just a little more. We will see Sunday if it needs it.

Yeah, I would love a lot nicer laser cutter but this is what we already had avalible. I had to hack into this one to make it completely computer controlled and not have to use any of their proprietary software.

Thanks DT! Your rigs looks and performs great also...

Well my next project for this rig started yesterday. I am gonna upgrade to the 4pk and dual mamba micro pros. This will be new to me so a learning curve will be in store. The Mamba Micro Pro's came in yesterday and hopefully the 4pk the first of next week.

At $52 each and free shipping, this was a no brainer. Everyone who is running them seem to like them also.

Finally got a chance to do some tech. Its been a great day here in Gamecock Nation wining the SEC east tonight.

First off I went over to Castle's site and downloaded the most current version of castle link (didn't have the cd.)

>>>Castle Link Download<<<

After the download is complete and you run the install, you will need to connect the castle link to your usb port and then to your Mamba Micro Pro. Now you are ready to open your Castle Link Program.

You will notice a set of tabs across the top the screen. The only one we will be concerned with is the basic tab. With in the basic tab you will need to set your parameters to your desire. One of the most imortant ones being the drag brake in which the mamba micro pro's include a 213% drag brake feature. Most of these settings are by default.

Once you are complete adjusting each parameter, click the update button then the ok button when it finishes applying the update to the esc. Now repeat this for the second esc.

Next I removed the cases and removed the white wire from each circuit board. This is not required but i do not plan on running a brushless setup with these esc's.

The next few steps are basic soldering.

Finish everything up with shrink wrapping and removing the switches.

I elected to keep the cases on instead of shrink wrapping the whole esc. Here is some dimensions.

These Mamba Micro Pro's continue to impress. They take up less space the a single punk dig and cost less the a single esc and punk dig combined. I am very impressed so far. Here is what they look like sitting low in the belly.
