Well VP says that you can run 460 hubs with their knuckles and thats what those are.

They look a little tight, just checking.

My 2cts. on this rig.... I got to see this thing in person today at a comp. Also got to meet "Limited".... This is by far the best BJ4 build I've seen and the best XR-10 too! Everything was very clean and neat. I've made a few comments about the xr-10's breaking(one stripped a gear today at the comp), but I seen this rig bound-up and out of shape and twisted everyway you can think of today and it handled it all. I kept waiting to here a snap or grind.... But nothing every happened! Sharp rig that seems to work well. Now if Limited can just get used to his new 4pk!!!! He was fighting it just a bit today! Nice to meet you today!

How about a pic showing how that battery plate attaches to the link mount?

No. By this thread you should know by now I don't mind sharing. It just looked better at that distance...

This better?

I think I see what you have going on. I want to try making one with those same mounting points with some battery protection on the front and top. Thanks

Let us know how you like the Brood 45T's. I am thinking of getting Brood 40T's. I have a set of HH 45T's and love them, but i want a little more wheel speed.

Since the KK dig tray battery axle mount was a one off one time deal I have been working on a replacement just in case I needed a new one. Its kinda rough atm but you will get the general idea where im going with it. It is made out of much thinner .025 aluminum sheet that is very easy to work with. It is also a one piece design where as the original is 2.

Finally made a little time to do work this week. Just got finished installing the rear transmission case. It actually went together a lot smoother than the front one. I also inspected and regreased everything while I had it apart and still there is no carnage to report. The only unfortunate thing is that I did not get the new motors from eddie today. So that means they wont be in for the NC series comp on Sunday. Hopefully I will have them in my hands for the ATL CFK's comp next Saturday. Here are few pics of the VP case installed on the rear axle.

And just a poser for good measure. Yep thats the cricket.

Well the North Carolina DPG comp got canceled due to snow. So, Sunday some of the SCRCC crew went to Falls Park in Greenville, SC for a little practice. We mainly were working on time and finishing courses. Overall I say it was a great day of crawling except for the bone chilling weather. The rig performed well beyond my expectations. Now if we can just fix all the driver mental errors and get comfortable with the 4pk, we will be set. Here are a few pics from this weekend.

SCRCC crew doing work....

Thanks to Ryan aka ittybitty for snapping most of the pics.

Nikon D5000 It's actually on the lower end of the $ spectrum, but its at the perfect level to keep me from having to think too much. I'd like to pick up a used D90 or something similar down the road...but this one works really well and I can hand it off and not have to spend 30 minutes explaining what to do.

I think the best part about the pics is that none of them are staged...they were all taken while on course. That might not make a difference to a casual looker, but I like knowing they weren't posed.

The pics limited posted here are just some from this weekend...the rest are here:

Thanks! I use a Sony Handycam HDD 80GB hard drive 1080p for my video needs. I looked at the cameras that had the HD video capability when I purchased the D5000 but what kept me from considering it further was that they were not continuous focus like a video camera. I took a minute to read up on the D3100...looks like a good combo with the new subject tracking in video mode.

I had my first failure on Monday. One of my HH 45T's gave out. Have you gotten a chance to try those 40T's yet? I am about to order some Brood 40T's.
