Be sure to post up what they weigh once you get it ready to produce. CF is cool.

As far as the way it was running before, no. All previous products are still discontinued. This chassis is the only thing going right now. Until I get a better handle on how to manage my time, I'd rather not say that UGC is "back"

I believe DickyT's was 10 after cutting out the hole in the center....or was it 9? Anyway, here's what one weighs.

That's less than 1/3 oz.
I guess the CF isn't up to the rock rash the cab will see? Or is it mainly a cost issue that keeps everything(besides the skid) being CF?
What does the entire chassis weigh?

9, there is a 2 gram difference for the entire chassis. I dream of cf sheet at night now

I wouldn't expect CF to last long on top. The lowers are protected by the mandatory side panels, and the skid also helps get them up a bit as well because of it's shape. If the skid didn't have the boat sides that it does, I'm not sure the lowers would last long either.

I hope you can get things worked out, I've always really liked your stuff.
I was very sad to see you closed up....

Looking forward to the release of the viper chassis! Best of luck to you!

CF is extremely strong but it is not good at absorbing impacts. It is very rigid and not designed to take impacts from hard objects.

The panel looks sharp, would really make the Viper chassis pop with that purdy CF on the sides, nice work.

Yeah, the first time I flipped over, by the time I recovered, there wouldn't be an upper chassis left.

Finally got some pics uploaded to photobucket

Been practicing this week with gates, I've been driving too slow from gate to gate. Makes it difficult to finish courses.

I destroyed my roof panel. It only took a few direct impacts too.

Damn Polyester! Its what they make clothes out of, not body panels! Its all the lhs had for clear plastic. Not going to make that mistake again. Making a temporary panel for now.

Got the CO caps installed and the big bores built smooth as butta! The hardest thing was finding the 4mm buttonhead hardware, had to go to 3 hobbyshops for it. DickyT gave me a tutorial on shock building and I built em up. I had to cut my gold springs to fit these new shocks, no biggie. With Ball ends at both ends of the shock, there is no bind, the travel is so smooth and fluid, very beneficial mod here.

And I must say, they look pimp!

Thanks, yeah they are the future!lol Wouldn't look back for sure.

Yeah, the springs should be "clapped out silvers that used to have a 1.4 spring rate"
