Default Tydl's UGC Viper

This started a few weeks ago....Dickyt passed me his remote and said have fun. I went and tried a number of technical climbs with great success. Fast forward to Christmas. Parents got me the xr kit, and punk dig. Dickyt passed me his v1 chassis and we went to work. It was so much more than just putting the kit together. We were working for 13 hours straight. Started with the axles, simple enough right? No. 9mm mod before we even got started on anything else. Over an hour later, we had 2 finished motor plates. Built the axles, and the shocks, then went off the reservation. I made lower links while Dickyt made the uppers. Had to make an electronics tray and solder everything together. After finishing the chassis, mounting the servo and wheels, I had the luck to have Mr. Dickyt to help tune the suspension. All with time to spare for our comp that morning; came in 3rd too!

That was insane! I couldn't believe we got it done in one night! Thank you for all the help, without which, I still be working to get it running.

I gotta take pics tomorrow at the course, so you'll get to see it. Its definately the best paint job I've ever done. I think one of the first parts I need to make is a longer steering draglink arm. Will work on that one day this week.

Thank you, I highly doubt it but thanks.

Here are a few more pics for tonight

Got a comp tomorrow and am ready, batteries charged, crawler good to go. Had some issues with the RS esc, when programming the motor profile, I found(after hrs with DickyTs help) that the delay and instant profiles were mislabeled. Very aggravating, but problem solved. I'm sporting a Racers Edge servo horn for now. Had gotten this massive looking orange one from RichardGarrett56(without either of us knowing it was integy). Stripped in on my first course out with it. It just wasn't strong enough for the 7980.

Got it on the rocks today and it was fun. Ran 4 courses, finished 2, 1 negative, had to leave early and took the Big 50 for the finals. Truck is very smooth and fluid, I need to practice a little. Got some pics on the rocks

Peace out and remember Progress to finish!

(I didn't)

Thanks. The flames are Spazstix blue/purple/green/gold and there is metal flake in the white. Makes it hard for my cheap camera to take a clear pic. Maybe DickyT will remember his camera on Saturday.

It always sux to be responsible huh? Its worth it in the end and it was just a practice comp right? Saturday is the points series, and I think were tied right now.

Doubtful. That is the event that I am the organizer for. One more thing to be concerned about And my main focuses are running a smooth, fun event and adding another "W" to the belt

Camera will have to be another day unless you want to be financially responsible for it
