Yeah, murderface showed me some rock that looks like it was imported from a coral reef My jaw dropped when I saw it. Its about 3 rocks, and I think you can get 3 or 4 even 5 courses out of them. Lots of hangups gaps and I know some ppl this year are going to be taking their rigs out in pieces.

i broke 4 micro chasis' out there lol you know its tough when youre breakin rigs that weight around a half a pound and i couldnt even touch the stuff that looks real nasty ... all i know is those rocks will eat worm gear driven rigs and anything over 5.5 lbs . The crevices are just soo deep and narrow a heavily weighted wheel will snap off before it gets out of one. and this stuff is seriously so grippy if you dig too long you'll prolly rip your rig in half.....damnit why's it gotta be hiding under a foot of snow i wanna crawl it now

Sounds sick, bring it on I'll run my 6 pound rig on it, as far as breaking it who cares. That why I have 2 When the weather breaks set up a comp that doesn't conflict with our points series and I'm there.

I just slapped it together. Now I got it right where I want in stance and all. I got to run and get some lexan sheet for the panels. I'm so happy its here, now I can have it ready for tomorrow.

Jeepkid, I was wondering about the big bores. Did you just switch over to stop the leaks from the stock caps? Or was it a need for lighter springs than stock size has available?

Could you weigh them and find out how much heavier a set is full of all that oil?

IMHO, I don't see the need for big bores on a crawler. They were introduced into racing because the extra volume of oil made the temperature and performance more consistant. But thats under the extreme pounding they take on a racer. It just has no performance benefit over a regular bore on a slow moving crawler. I can seal the small shocks just like a big bore and have a lot less weight. I know your on a light weight kick lately.

I'm more or less just curious about the weight differences, not looking for a performance debate.

PS, Murderface has a nicer rig. Just bugggin.... lol I run BWD also. They are nearly identical rigs.

Thanks.

Thanks man, that must have been at davisburg. Now it's a JK on 2.2 TSL'S. The XJ on 1.9 TSL's was fun, but once the snow hit it sucked. Planning on doing a wicked brushless system and going full TTC rig

The big bores are around 5 to 6 grams less. Not to mention they are shorter with the cap mod. I dont know about the performance. I took mine apart this morning and found a way to swap the XR delrin pistons insidee the big bores. They work great for me, and everybody else that runs them. On top of that you have a mini spring holder built in. Thats what way I'm going soon. Maybe today.

Edit:
Forgot to mention that my rig is 5.3pounds now. It worked great at 4.8, but I moved up to 4mil grub screws throughout. It picked up some wieght there and some from stick on wieght I added to get used to the wieght of the D-lux knuckle wieghts that are coming out.
