Nice comeback! I still need to get my bushings. My 1:1 car got a boo boo today that should set me back about 800$, so I cant upgrade the gears or cases just yet.

My rock pile was getting a little stale so I changed it around today.

The goal was to make it alot more challenging.

This is actually a lot more steep than it looks, was having a bit of trouble with it.

I need to check craigslist to see if anyone is giving away any rock. The pile needs to be bigger.

Oh ya, sorry for the crappy pictures. I don't know what setting I changed on my camera but it's made all my pictures suck.

Last night I removed the extra foam I stuck in my tires(HB rover stock foam fix)and drilled two 1/8" holes in all of my wheels to let them breathe, and holy cow! Big difference, the tires just kind of wad up and pop over stuff.

I'm also thinking about getting some VP stuff, but not sure on what color to go with. I was thinking either red, orange or black.
I really wish they had an anodized green like their beadlocks, maybe if I contact them they would do some custom anodizing?

VP stuff on the way!

Here's the list:
XR-10 Front Link Mount ****vps02502 ********
XR-10 Rear Link Mount *****vps02701 ********
VP Incision Servo Armor ***vps02404 ********
Incision XR-10 Axle Transmission Case***vps02322 **X2*****
Incision XR-10 Axle Motor plate *vps02344 x2 ********

I plan on getting wheels and knuckles and all that jazz eventually, but this should tide me over for now.

I bet I could drop a grand in that store and still not have everything I want...

How do you like the Rovers? I'm trying to decide on what tires to go with for my Mantis build. I'm torn between Rovers and Sedonas. I've had rovers before and loved them.

You know, I honestly have nothing to compare them to. They seem to be getting the job done, drilling holes in my wheels has really let them shine.
I do want to try out a set of boss claws and see how they perform.

Well my VP goodies showed up.

They really do make some nice stuff... Theres something about nicely machined anodized aluminum that makes me happy.
I was also really impressed with their shipping, I ordered saturday night, they shipped it out Monday and it got to my door by Wednesday.

Great chassis. Check out the Chaotic Crawlers Special too. It's a great chassis.

Thanks! It's actually an old sidewalk that used to be behind my house, asked if I could have it when they were tearing it out

UGC Viper chassis on the way!

Now I'm just waiting for Rowdy Racing to get some front guard mounts back in stock, switch my electronics over and I'll be set.

My new chassis is so cool!

Birds nest!

Is this hood panel legal?

All thats left to now is order a rowdy racing batt mount and make some side panels!

I also changed the title of the thread because I don't think it's a mall crawler ha, and the fact that I hate malls and I drive a subaru.

Bit of an undate, went to my first meeting with the local club to talk about the upcoming season, pretty excited to start comping.

I was also given some cool stuff by a member on here by name of kratos.

Some sweet BWD goodies!!!

I didn't use the uppers because I like the length of the axials and how much clocking I cn get out of them. I did have to use some shorter rod ends on the rear lowers to have proper wheelbase.
I had such a tough time trying to get the knuckle arm extension to work I gave up. there are way to many factors that go into proper steering setup that I had no idea about. The main problem I was having was that I was maxing out the servo horn to the point where it was level and starting to pull the the knuckle back the other way. I'm not sure how it's going to work when I vanquish knuckles.

Anywho... Thanks Kratos!!!

Do not like the BWD rear lower links. They have a tendency to cause the truck to get hung up before the tire can make contact with the rock. And the slope is so aggressive, the front has a hard time pulling it over.

Just my opinion.
