I should add a tip from the 1:1 world of sticky tires. Once they start to get feathered in (tapered lugs like in the pic above) it is best to keep them rotating in the same direction on the car, just swap RF to RR and LF to LR. Once you flip the rotation you will cut their life drastically because then the other side of the lugs need to get broken in and tapering back, then you lose half of the surface area on the lug face that would have normally had a much longer life with greater performance than a tire that gets its direction reversed and never gets to stay in the "sweet spot" like running it as I described.

Does anybody besides Highlucks and Ty understand that he's not asking how many months or hours of driving to expect from them, but at what point of wear they lose grip? I.E. what pin length should they be replaced at?

Austin Dunn once told me slicks were the best crawling tire, if you could keep them clean. He said he tried an inside out set of Boss claws and they were awesome if kept clean.

For those who may not know, Austin has forgotten more about Rc crawling than most will ever know.
