| Re: Matt's CK Reptile Thanks! Not sure if it will ever be done, more of a constant state of improvement. Hey thanks! I'm sure having fun building it. OMG Becky, look at these tires! I am way stoked on these, the whole time I've been crawling I've just had my one set of rovers. Big thank you to OTTSIX and Crawl-o-matic for the free pair! |

So did the hotwire help smooth out the motors? Looks like you are getting tuned in. Ty

So after a driving the truck for a bit I've decided that it has too much articulation and kinda feels like driving a wet noodle lol. The other thing I feel the truck might have an issue with is that the wheelbase really shrinks when the suspension is uncompressed, which is causing issues when full vertical and trying to grab a ledge. So I decided to limit my shocks a bit and maybe help both issues. I wasn't sure what kind of spacers to use for internal limiting, I didn't want to use aluminium thinking it might scratch the shock shaft so I decided to make some out of some old rod ends. I ran a 1/8" drill bit through the rod ends so they would fit on the shaft, then clipped the ball end off. The finished spacer I cut to 9mm and as a result went from about 11 5/8" uncompressed To about 12" uncompressed I also decided to try out some red medium mini t springs thinking it might help with the noodley-ness lol. Hopefully these will be positive changes with good results. |
