Default Yeti Noob

I have been into off road rc for over 3 years now and I am a basher dirt only. Have 3 Traxxas and saw the Yeti and fell in love. I want one and have been hitting yotube watching and love it BUT know nothing about it or the company Axial. The aftermarket is flooded with parts for Traxxas stuff. What about the yeti? Like I said I am a noob and don't want to get hung out on parts as I know NOTHING of Axial at ALL. I see complaints of the bead locks comming apart. I know with any RTR there are likes dislikes things to change to your liking. I am trying to justify spending the money basically. I am NOT a rock crawler more balls out break it fix it and do it again. I don't have a problem with spending money on needed upgrades to get further towards bullet proof either. Just looking for some experienced input. Sorry for the looong post.

I saw this thing just like you and sold off my embe for it there is a ton of great builds here and that is what sold me on it. It's not as fast as the slash but with a change of the spur gear to the 56 tooth I think it will be right there. The parts are out there and strc just released a ton of stuff but look the vendor section because unlike traxxas there are a ton of smaller companies making great stuff for it with and from what I see they all have great support of the stuff and of the forum just look in the general crawler section and see the 12 days of Christmas thread.

I'm looking at the Yeti as well - thinking of getting rid of one of my crawlers and going this route to run with my Wraith.

I bought a yeti when they first came out and only ran it once. It was fun but needed the right terrain to really enjoy it. It sat on the shelf for a few months and then just this last weekend, couple of us took our yeti's to the track and had a absolute blast with them. I've already got another yeti from the classifieds and some upgraded parts on the way...
