Thanks!

It is a black VP truss.. I decided to grab a set up and run the front on this and the rear on the VP axle for my Sexo..

Next to show up in the mail, will be a Dlux modded bulk head.

I have been running the Dlux modded axle housings on my Sexo since they came out. They have held up to Everything I could throw at them! 4000kv on 4s, 3100kv on 4s, and now a 3500 HD on 4s..
I'm Very at ease with throwing one on the front of the Sexo running a 3000kv HD..

I've got some new hinge pins coming. I'll give this a shot when they arrive.

Crunchy got some shoes with some new insoles! Maybe they will cushion the blows from the path it will travel..

Getting closer.. Rear axle went out with my son's wraith. So now I'm waiting for the rear axle shafts. (As a friend needed mine for a trail run this past weekend).

So while I wait on the mail lady, for the rear shafts, I'll be adding the parts she brought today!

Even with the holiday season and slow mail, my package from Dlux was here lickety split!

Now I have the problem of running these limited edition ano'd trailing arms, by UCfab or waiting on the black ones that might possibly be coming out next!

My Holmes spools went together like butter! And look great doing it!

Have you tried flipping the a arms yet? I tried with the rpm ones and there is still interference. Probably can be done with some sanding but it's not worth the gain in clearance for the lose in durability. Pics are under my build if you were curious.

Man those spools are pretty! I will have a few on my bench after Xmas!! Build is looking good!!

Thanks coma.. Yeah, I tried back when I did the caster blocks and knucks swap. It wasn't any good.

Ur post is prefect timing tho! I was pricing rpm arms not an hour ago, just for testing this option.

As for work done today..

I tore the front end off for the Dlux modded bulk head.
Once in there I found the stock gears, already looking like magnesium shavings..
So I grabbed for gears and found I didn't have any HD stock gears in "stock".. But I had a set of HD UD gears.. So I'm running UD F/R now.

I also saw in a thread where the front "drive shaft" was replaced by a MIP.. I thought it was brilliant! So I followed suit.
The MIP is a normal scx/ax driveshaft.

I also finally got the dremel after that steering problem that comes with the OG VP steering rack.

All back together and steering setup finished, lock to lock and epa's set...

Minus the rear axle shafts, that are in the mail, I got the VP axle mounted and all ready for the axle shafts and a first run!

That's funny. Yeah it's on page 7 or 8 of the RoadRash thread. The arms hits the circular part of the caster blocks. I just said screw it! Left them alone haha

And they day We all do it for!!!

Rtr day!!! ;)

Got the rear axle shafts and lubed with my favorite lube.. Wheelworks "Black-n-Tacky" !!!
I use it on Every set of gears in Every rig I have owned since I got it... 4000kv on 4s.. Still on the gears.. Doesn't fling off!
I use it for my pocket knife, MIP yokes an even on the male shaft, door hinges, etc.. Don't care, it's All I use! (Not even sure it's still available) oops.. Hope I don't run out!

Anywho.... I'm calibrated, tightened an loctite'd, and all 4 wheels spinning the same direction!(I won't mention that I had to tear the rear axle back apart to flip my HH spool and ring gear) :/

Which wasn't easy.. These HH spools are Ridiculous on the Tolerance's! (I had to karate chop my wheel, to get the axle shaft to come back out of the spool)!
Gripfab was in my other rigs and was the top spool out on the market.
Time for a New top spot owner!

These HH spools are saaweeet!

Mandatory flex shot..

Uh, mmm.. Wrong rig section... Lol..

A couple 3300mah 3s charged up and ready to break something!!!

It's still in one piece. Ripped it outside a minute and from kitchen to living room..
Beat on, drifting, full throttle assault's on the carpet..
Not bad..

The motor is a little Hot and the battery, nanotech 3300mah 40-80c 3s, puffed a little..

I'll throw the other one in and give it a go on a gravel parking lot or a trail near by. The trail is a walking/biking trail. It's got roots, gravel, rocks.. Like a 1 mile U4 track.. Lol..

I might even have to test some 4s..
I thought this thing would be faster..

My exact thoughts when I first squeezed the trigger.... I thought it would be faster. I think I will try and toss the Holmes trailmaster in it and hit her with 4s

No worries there! The HH Trailmaster BL can take 4s like a champ!

Good deal! If they get back to you, lmk how you make out, I'll buy another bottle while I can!

I've had this bottle for 2 yrs, I bet, and still have half a bottle!
It doesn't take much.. The "instructed" amount is a few drops/dabs per gear..
I run a line around each gear.. Lol.. (By now, one would think they would realize they don't Need to use that much)

The black n tacky Blows grease, Out of the Water! Less drag, less build up, less mess, comes off easy(to clean off), and doesn't slime ur finger's all up when working on internals..

The next best thing, would be mixing some Lucas gear/motor oil type of stuff(you know that little stand at ur local advance auto store, that has 2 sets of gears and a spinny handle on each gear set) yeah, that stuff! Mix it with grease.. (A little trick from Barry at ClassiCutCustom)

It loosens the grease up and makes it stick and stay on the gears..

My buddy mixes grease and STP. Seems to have a similar effect as what you describe for the black and tacky.

Team Fast Eddy makes a red and tacky grease that I've been using scents I started in 1/5 scale works great

If it's grease, it's not like the black n tacky..

Black n tacky is more like a oil, not grease..
