Default It's Crunchy "too" ...

Well, I didn't have plans for one of these but.... A trade came up and I had the right goods for it..
Time to join in the fun!

I traded my decked out Chaotic El Nino sporty for this Yeti and came with a good amount already done to it, with light use..

Parts list:
VP... Knuckles, front links, rear uppers, double sheer kit, and steering rack
BMRC... Trailing arms
RR... Steering lock
CarterFab... Aluminum panels
Axial... Uni's
2x new Yeti bodies...

Electronics:
Tekin... RX8/Pro4 HD 3000kv
CC... bec
Hitec... 7950
Airtronics... MT-4 tx/rx

Parts I'm adding:
MIP... rear shaft
Axial... front locker(in time)
STRC... Caster blocks
Poison spider... diff cover
HH... Spool

Parts I would like to shoot towards next:
MIP... Front shafts
Axial... Shock tower

Maybe:
VP... ar60 housing, link mounts, truss, an lockouts

Winner,
Liking the thread so far. I have a Black VP truss if you want it. I had a black housing but it was too much black so i got the Silver one.

Got knuckles in and decided to swap my front end around..

Start

I wanted to flip my front arms but the caster's didn't agree.. :/ So before I decided to take the dremel to anything, I decided I should look at my options first..

Like what A arms I need to get to do this, if a aftermarket arm of the way to go???
End:

Still need to dremel the VP steering rack for more turning, one side..
Then swap the rear axle out for the black VP housing I got. I'm going with black housing, gray lockouts, link mounts, and diff cover.

Still need to get a VP truss, but maybe a stock one for now.

I was shooting for red.. But I also think the orange will be good to mix it up a little between my rigs..

Now to find some orange beadlock rings for my slw's..

Anyone have any info on the flipped A arms situation?

I'll be using this rig for bashing, not track use.. Lol

Will flipping the A-Arms give you higher clearance? Wondering what the advantage is?

Thanks

I've heard that you can flip the rpm A arms but not the others due to the carrier binding.

Damn. Just put the whole front end back together. Maybe I'll give this a shot if it will provide more clearance. I think it could use it where I've been running. Especially with the snow!

I'll wait until I get the replacement hinge pins. Mine weren't as bad as some I've seen, but bad enough.

Aha. Sadly, I have not had the back axle apart yet. Only the front (9 times it feels like!). Agreed, the metal is going to help in just about every instance.

Looks like you had a great start with the build. I just put my vanquish rear end together I still need the truss, diff cover and link brackets but love the look of it

The rig had a pretty good start when I got it. With what I saved on Needed upgrades, I spent on UnNeed upgrades! Lol...

Just till the HH spool gets here..

I believe this is correct, the rpm arms are a little different near the carrier. The support brace is farther inwards unlike the stock one. The rpm one the brace is also flush to the profile of the arm. Here is a quick comparison photo. I can confirm this tomorrow morning when mine show up.
