Sorry , I meant more like the Lucas trick. Have we found out if that black and tacky is still available? Seems like a good solution.

winnerone23,
Thanks for the detailed response. Sounds like good stuff. I use Red N Tacky / Lucas stuff now but i would like to try this when i do the UD gears. Tail wags like a dog when you get home from work.

Unfortunately no response to my PM yet. I'll let everyone know if chicklet responds.

I actually got out today to run the yeti.

Not much, just some speed runs..
I'm not sure what happen, nor do I remember switching the RX8 to 4s.. But... It worked out great! IMO.. Lol..

I got a quick reading on 3s, till the voltage cut out..

Then out off sheer luck of having a 4s with me, I did some Fun runs.. And I mean FUN!!!

Then to double check things..

Oh YEAH!!!

I could get into this.. Lol..

Still not horribly stable and the rear shocks are pretty horrible, with the rebound.. But I'll try some thicker oil next and see what works.. (Running 30wt in the rear) (45wt in the front)..

I have some Slash power stroke rear shocks but they are a touch long for the front(i think limiting straps will do the trick) and Short for the rear.. I'll figure it out.. Lol..

When I get more time and a bigger pack, I'm ready to do some real wrekin in my old man's shale pit!

That's some nice speed on 4s. What gears are you running.

I'm not 100% sure on the pinion gear.. It came setup and is the only part of the rig, I haven't had apart yet!

But.. Looking at a body.. Looks mean!

I really like the Slash Dakar body! Hmmm... Looks close enough to me for fitting one on.

I agree.. A little trimming, some body posts, loose the cage, and new Dakar body.. This bad boy should look wicked!

SC body looks like perfect. Let us know how the final came out and if it was a PITA to mount.

On a side note. I heard back from chicklet. She doesn't carry the black n tacky but torchedcycle does. I sent a PM and received a response that a few bottles are left.

I didn't mount the Slash body. It's getting sold with the Slash. I just fitted it to see if it was worth buying a Dakar body..

Lol.. What timing.. I talked with torchedcycle earlier today and bought 5 bottles for me and another guy..

I'm waiting for reply from Stacey, that was part of developing the Black-n-Tacky, to see if there is more out there.

Last time I bought some Black-n-Tacky, it was from Reflection. Not sure if he still handles it.

Finally checked my gearing.. 60/16..

From reading around, it looks like I could get a 56t spur in there and gain some top end.. Like 30mph isn't crazy enough! Lol..

Still waiting on a rear axle shaft.. I ordered last Wednesday morning!

Maybe I'll venture into replacing the motor mount while she is down..

Finally got my rear axle shafts. 2 weeks later!

Which ended in a 3 piece hex pin and damaged hex.. :(

Luckily, I got new pins with that order..
Back up and running.

Ribaja.. The HH motor will take some heat and keep kicking..
Is it recommended.. Prolly not.. Lol..
The one that was in my Sexo has been so hot, I dropped the rig from picking it up from the skid! It's been a Champ at taking my abuse for a year or so now, without any signs of giving up!

A new Trailmaster proto is going in my scx next and then in the Sexo..
Runs cooler, smoother startup, more torque and more speed! If you can believe that it just keeps getting better!

Out for some fun..

Was a little worried about the electronics..

But seem pretty safe in there.. I still want to make some "wheel wells", atleast for the front tires/inside the chassis..

Nice! Looks like some of the runs I've done this winter. I've gotten it so packed in and iced that the servo stopped being able to turn the wheels

I've seen a couple cool ways to add wheel wells to keep some of the snow out of that area.

I went out ice fishing with a friend.. Took the yeti out to play in between flags..

Last year was better.. Less snow. I could of run the shiz out of it! But I'll be back before the ice is gone...

Have any links or threads or pics of them wheel wells?
