And a little disassembly before bed... At least I will have a real good idea on how the front end of this thing is put together!

Laid the black down this morning before heading to work. Wishing I could stay home, my DLUX and RPP goodie boxes are on the mail truck.

You didn't leave the light buckets clear? Not using lights?

From the parts list in the original post:

Gear Head white and blue six shooter

So no lights in the body. I may get a light bar for the top eventually, when my wallet recovers from this. Long term I may cut the light buckets out of the body and mount a set of the Q-Series Rigids from VP.

Got plans for those six shooters myself. Didn't bother to read your original list.

Think I want headlights, too, though. No light bar for me. As much as my rigs roll over.....not gonna' bother.

Mine too, LOTS! If I do a top light bar, it will be mounted on the underside of the roof panel.

Take a look at the Helios light kit for the Yeti, nice setup.

They are cool, But I'll probably go with a Gear Head bar to match the one on the front bumper and out back.

Both the RPP and DLUX shipments show the following status but 6 hours until I will be home from work + commute

Now the question is... Do you guys want pictures uploaded tonight? They will have to be from my iPhone and will have the quality of most of pictures in this thread. Or should I use the good camera and post the update tomorrow afternoon\evening after I have converted the photos from raw and put them through post? Or both? I can post some as I go iPictures tonight along with the high quality pics tomorrow.

Use iPhone pics until it's fully built. Then break out the DSLR!

What do you shoot with anyway?

I'd opt for better pictures. Def. Looking forward to your opinion on the dlux front end. I've been holding off on bombproof driveshafts because the optional stuff (blue monkey & dlux) didn't have open diff options.

Nikon D7100 with a 50mm 1.8 prime or 18-140 zoom

Good....a Nikon man. I need more glass for mine, but it's on the back burner for a good while. Need lighting (Alien Bees) too, but again.....priorities.

Right now I only have the camera, no lights, no photo box. But with the 1.8 lens I can get nice clear shots, hand held in very low light.

This is a shot of my boy on Christmas eve, hand held with a single floor lamp on behind me. Tripod shots eliminate the grainyness in the bokeh in low light. Love the lens! http://kenrockwell.com/nikon/50mm-f18-g.htm

I've got a 50mm 1.8 myself, but it doesn't AF with my body (D5000). I've gotten a couple of decent shots with it, but more often than not, I just shoot with my 18-55mm kit lens. Took a Sigma 10-20 f3.8 to Cancun a few years back and loved that one, but at $600, I wasn't able to buy one for myself. Cost me $85 to rent it for 10 days, though, including shipping to me and back.

Here's one I took right after I got my Wraith at my father-in-law's place. Standard 18-55mm kit lens. I normally shoot with all natural light.

Now......get back to that build!

That is certainly ideal, but not an option indoors after the sun goes down.

Here is outside with the 18-140

Yeah.....I usually don't even bother trying to shoot indoors. Once I pony up and snag a hotshoe flash, I will.

Oh yeah! I need to feed the family, then get to work! There is only one piece I ordered that has yet to arrive, no fault of the vendor, he did his job well. USPS

Full DLUX setup, a diff to test!

iPhone photos are going to have to do, without a light box I'm just not getting the detail I want out of my Nikon for parts shooting.

Axial and ofna shaft both shown for comparison.
