|  Help gearing down my Yeti / HH Pro Puller!
Hello. I need some help gearing down my Yeti running on 3S with HH Pro Puller 540XL 3500kv and Castle Mamba Max Pro ESC! Problem is it runs very hot, i could barley touch it after my last run. I run stock gears atm, should i change spur or pinion? I know nothing about gearing and need some help before getting the right gear, just need it to run a bit colder! I think the stock geras is Pinion Gear 32P 16T / Spur Gear 32P 64T |

You can try a 14t or 15t pinion. Many people run that motor in stock Yeti's with no problems. Some heat is normal. Can you put a temp gun on it to see exactly what temps you are running?

"Hot to touch" means nothing. If is under 160F you are fine. Get one of the temp guns from amazon/ebay for $10-20 and you are set. |

On 3000kv Pro4HD 3s & MMP I have no heat issues on stock gearing. I'd say the 3500kv Holmes could benefit from one or two teeth down on the pinion. |
