Default South Bay Scalers RC club

I am offically starting the South Bay Scalers. We will be an organization dedicated to scale crawlers. Most will be 1.9 wheeled vehicles but have no reservations against 2.2 or 1.5. The idea behind it will be to have Team Trials comps and/or trail rides in an effort to bring back the fun of RC crawling without the "comp" mentality. Runs will be members only and member invited guests. NO HIGH STRUNG, OVERLY COMPETITIVE BUZZKILLS. Lets have some fun people

Please PM me for membership and post up any
questions or comments

I'm not competitive, if I was I would have beaten you at one point or another!

I do have six scalers and two more on the way, maybe obsessive / compulsive is a better word to describe me...

PM sent...I am a total Newb at anything running this slow but I wish to checkout some scale runs and maybe even try to drive my FJ40 with you guys. I run WK guts with home-made frame, links, bumpers. I also made some scale tools and a roof-rack. Hopefully you guys are not greedy on set-up tips!

I'm getting a good amount of PM's regarding this new club and I'm excited about our first event.

Some of the pm's are from people well outside the South Bay(San Jose area). Heck one guys area code says Pennsylvennia. Just so you all know the idea is to make a local club so it's not so difficult to make a run. Don't get me wrong, you guys from outside the Bay are more than welcome to participate. Heck I hope Mad4rnr makes every run, his rigs are sick. Maybe some different chapters are in order. How's the "Scale Crawler Association" sound. It'll be the title group for the different chapters.

Please when PM'ing me include your phone #, email and location

So, when is the first "meet" of the Association? After watching your video of Bean Hollow months ago I wanted to try my hand at following Chino and the boyz...I confess that I have watched it about 10 times total...Best scale video I have ever watched, anywhere. Keep us posted on a run!

Default Sounds fun

I am not a compition kind of guy and the few that I went to I didnt even compete but after all the comps were done everyone went on a trail run and followed each other. It started with like 5 RC's and ended up with 15 and it was the most fun I had all day.

I recently got my SCX10 looking scale and would love to join in on the fun.

Nice rig, Proline really did a nice job with their scale products, except their winch, how do you mount that thing?

Thanks, I just used some CA glue and so far it has stayed on. I just got done mounting the rear bumper as well. Lets set a date and time for a get together! I am itching for some trail fun.
