Hello all, I am in the Le Mesa area. Once this Covid crisis is put to rest I would like to get involved with local crawlers. I do not do social media, so I will check back here. Feel free to pm me.

Thanks.

Hey whats up i'm in Rancho San Diego. Lots of people go to a spot in del Cerro. Its off the 8 just before mission gorge. Lake Murray exit maybe?
I havent been for a while but that's where most of the san Diego scalers on Facebook go. I'm not on there much either but sometimes I will just go with my son.

Of the SD spots, I much prefer Lake Wohlford

I know of some decent crawl spots in North County, but does anyone know of any fun go-fast spots?

There's the outdoor track at Jesmond Dene Park, but are there any other fun off-road tracks in North County?

Thanks.

Hi, do you mind listing some of those North County crawl spots? Thanks in advance

For crawling, scope Daley Ranch in Escondido. There's a fishing hole there, and surrounding that fishing spot are a lot of fun crawl obstacles. If you go during the week, its free to get in.

For a fun trail to hike/crawl, scope the La Costa Trails in Carlsbad. They're mountain bike trails and even for MTB trails they're exceptionally rocky. There's several trails in the network, with Drop Down and Switchbacks being the rockiest. Drop Down has rocky steeps that are more like an Ultra 4 trail. Switchbacks and the others are more like rock crawling trails.

Thank you! La Costa is local to me, and I'll check out Daley Ranch too.

Do a google search for 46044 Rainbow Canyon Rd in Temecula. There are some cool trails there

Here's a small spot in Temcula that has a pretty good little rock section:

If you're ever in North County, I'd be down for some crawling.

There's a few good spots up here, and I stick to those. I only go south of the 56 for work (in Mission Valley).

Life in cali has probably strayed most of us from our expensive hobbies haha. God dang gas prices, i wish I had SCX6 I would just ride it to work. But been trying to get out to calaveras and do some trial running there. Building a little spot in Escondido if anyone is near and wants to pitch in. Me and a buddy have been busy so it has kinda been taken over by weeds.

While I don't trail run, Calaveras is near my house. My family and I just did some RC hiking there 2 days ago.

It was my 3 year old twins and my 13 year old son each driving a car while the other 4 of us tried to keep them out of trouble.

Then I hiked P-Mountain (San Marcos) by myself for some scale trail truck driving. I don't drive my 10.3 Bronco where my 3 year olds can crash into it.

I'm down to come to Escondido too. I used to live there and enjoy a few spots there. Is the course you're building private? While I prefer trail driving to hard-core crawling, if it's a pretty crawly course maybe I'll fire up the Twin Hammers for some rougher stuff.

I think pretty much everyone posts on facebook now. Del Cerro seems to be a pretty popular spot.

Thanks for the tip VMG. I have two significant problems with that though:

Problem #1: It's south of the 56. I only cross that line when I'm paid to.

Problem #2: Facebook.

Spot i found. Don't stray to far from the trail, poison oak etc. Park in main area and go right. Maybe 50 yrds of trail and you'll see the area. Had my GEN8 but I think ill take my ascent 1/18 next time.
