Ty's Metal Works I have been making scale rock crawling chassis for several years now. I have also been selling them nearly as quickly as I make them, so I have decided to do sporadic runs of chassis I make for the public. The first run of chassis is the Raisin 2.1. This is loosely based on a 1:1 rig with some custom touches added. This is a run of 4 chassis all very similar with minor changes done to each one to keep each one unique. This chassis is designed around 1.9 tires and a wheelbase approximately 12.25" No chassis currently available. This is the first one completed. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psb7844ed5.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...pse45c64dd.jpg And a little small tire wrong wheelbase mock up. http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psa311e7be.jpg This is the second one: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psaba24eab.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psc635ee1f.jpg The third one: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...psb442db85.jpg http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...ps85f04cda.jpg All servo mounting locations will not be drilled due to the variety of servo posts available. Pricing: Currently no chassis are available. Shipping: per chassis 15.00 shipped for Parcel post OR Per chassis 20.00 shipped for priority mail. Pre-orders: Pre orders are now being taken on the current run of chassis. Custom orders: Currently I am not doing custom orders, chassis will come in runs of 3 or 4 at a time. Re: Ty's Metal Works Nice, I've always thought your work was top notch. I've forgotten about some of the amazing rigs you've built so this thread is a good blast from the past so to speak. But my favourite was scuba tank v2 and the fj40. Keep up the good work. |
Re: Ty's Metal Works Thanks man it is much appreciated. #1 is primed with panels ready to go and #3 just about there. |
Re: Ty's Metal Works Ty's Metal works will be closed from July 2nd to July 10th. I will start taking orders again when I get back. Have a happy 4th of July everyone! |
Re: Ty's Metal Works Any chance you'll do a run of the taco time buggy again? |

Re: Ty's Metal Works Quote:
Thanks Josh it was a fun rig, but the Raisin chassis is a better performing rig that is much easier to work on. Rok Out should be able to a test to that he has a Raisin and Taco time. :ror: Quote:
Chassis #1 is still available. Chassis' #2 and #3 are gone. Grab it while you can guys. |

I can imagine I just read through the build thread. As I looked at the pics and read the thread, I was like well maybe not lol. Wouldn't mind one based around either a f650 body or I just score a couple fast lane grand Cherokees. Kinda small but might make a nice 1.5er |

Re: Ty's Metal Works Scuba tank 1.2 do you make the soft camper? |
Re: Ty's Metal Works Quote:
I can potentially, yes. PM if you would like to talk more about it. |
Re: Ty's Metal Works Was wondering if you could PM me a quote on a custom chassis like Taco Time. Maybe something less expensive but still has the looks.;-) |
