| not as deep as yours. how is a caddy competing with a gmc, or hummer? they dont compete with themselves they offer more choices to get your money in their pocket.if you dont like the malibu then maybe youll like the grand prix,or the lesabre.no matter wich one you buy the moneys going to gm not ford.not to mention brand loyalty.plus the global market in some countrys chevys dont sell as well as pontiacs or buicks.sounds to me like you forgot the first rule of being the dope man. dont get high on your own supplys.

Got to thinking about all the vehicles I've owned over the years. Not one has been a Ford, but I've had several GM and Chrysler vehicles. Just like the banks that accepted gov't money and have to follow the gov't stipulations and rules, auto makers will be managed by the gov't. Since Obama came into office the gov't has gotten their hands on (when I say "hands on" I mean more than the gov't regulations, etc that were in place) the housing market, the automotive market, banking industry, and the insurance industry. If you don't see the problem with that, I feel sorry for you. |

| I don't know why in Japan, but I had a coworker travel to China 2 years ago and told me the Buick story. China got all of the outdated Buick tooling and used it to make a bunch of cars, many of which are used as taxi's. He said just about every Buick Taxi he rode in he could literally hear parts falling off the car as it drove down the street. |

Ditch the Unions and their managment, then closely follow by ditching Caddy, Hummer, Saturn, Saab. All we need is Buick which already blows Caddy out of the water in comfort, quality and price, dont forget looks and Chevys lineup consisting or only basic models. As for Pontiac, I have owned several and everyone of them were great cars. There are more Pontiacs on the roads around here then any other brand made, I will be sad to see them go, just as I was when Olds was cut. I wouldn't miss FORD being gone, I really wish it was them in this situation, but if they were out of business, then the small business mechanics would all be out of work. |

Re-read my post and actually read the text, not what you think the text means. My mention of Obama only serves to establish a time line of events. ...and if you think a single person is responsible for what's going on you've been in the cold for too long.

The ones that broke it were the greedy CEO's. They build a inferior poduct, rebadge it 3 or 4 times and wonder why no matter how they polish a turd, it still smells like shit. They ran thier companies into the ground then begged for a government handout so they could buy new jets for themselves. Obama is just doing what socialists do, take from the middle and give to the poor. The rich stay rich, the middle class struggle and the poor get everything for free. The government is not here to take care of us. When Katrina hit, why didn't all the people leave? Too lazy. Then when the government did not show up and taake care of them, its George Bush who they blame. When the floods hit the midwest there was no looting. The people sand bagged, and worked to help themselves. The whole economy is in the crapper because of greed, and the list of people to blame is long. But I for one cannot take anybody serious who says its any one mans fault.
