The other episodes looked to be better. I will be patiently waiting to see the episode where they go wheeling in alaska . They didn't look to be very comfortable acting like that, however I did like the part where they were in the suzuki and the italian uncle joke Overall, a weak episode but I am expecting for better ones to come.

I don't like it... Kind looks like top-gear... only more craptastic. Top-Gear is by far my favorite show, I don't know why they are even trying to make a US version.

LAME!

The only way i see this show making it (Love The REAL Top Gear) is if they go to Great Briton and make fun of it. I agree there doesn't seem to be any chemistry between the hosts and they need to make one of them the main.

Did anyone else notice that they never mentioned the top speed of any of the cars?

For a 1st episode it was lame, I'll keep it on the DVR for a few more weeks and see if it gets any better, but I'm not holding my breath.

I'm thinking the same thing, it is only the first show, Clarkson, Hammond, and May have had 6 years to get where they are now after all.

I watched first one...meh. I am going to keep watching as it does take some time to get things evened out and rolling smooth in shows such as these. Some of the future episodes look promising though. I also think it will never top the original as most things in life do not but it is something else to dvr when walking dead is on.

Gave that feeling of road and track to me, seemed boring, tanner foust is a douche so Im already not a big fan. Nothing funny was said or happened. Their "race" against the helicopter was at the speed limit through a town (GAY). All in all, I was watching the clock more than the show. The hosts dont seem to have any chemistry as mentioned above.

I would love to be in a room with Hammond, Jeremy and Slow as they watched this episode.

I guess I need to watch it as a new show and not as a rival or copy of the original. Otherwise i'll never like it.

I'm looking forward to more off road stuff though.

LOL at mini stig.

I liked it, there where a lot of throwbacks that those who aren't hardcore fans would have probably missed.

Please reference Series 1 EP1:

I think it will get better as it goes; there's a lot of bitching about how it's not as good as it's big brother, but no one seems to realize that it's a brand new show with a considerably smaller budget and less air time.

There's also a ton of whining about how the OG should be brought to the states ... but as I see it we're getting two times as much TopGear for the same price

They did that here with the third Australian Series, sent the hosts over to the UK and pratfalled their way around Clarkson, May and Hammond. It was only marginally better than the crap they followed up with locally.

I have most of TG on DVD, love it as much as my kids do (they like the builds) and I can't stand the 'local' versions.

There is only ONE Top Gear.
