From my favorite White Stripes album De Stijl.

I adore his bluesy / slide side.

I am a Hendrix fan as well (Band of Gypsies was going to blow the doors off the world) & this leads me to my question.
What do you think of SRV's version of Little Wing?
I think its the only cover of Hendrix I have heard that is ( I know I will catch hell for this) better than the original.

Without it, he... eh, shouldn't go there. SRV was/is excellent. I'll leave it at that. A more modern day Jimi?

I got Smash Hits on vinyl from my mom.

Got a ton of Jimi vinyl, original and reissues from late 90s. A ton. I really enjoyed Mitch Mitchell. And hell, Noel Redding too. They were almost perfect. Especially for some white boys backing Jimi! Buddy Miles in BOG was awesome, I have an album of his too. Starts out with Them Changes. Even has a cover of Neil Young on it. And Otis Redding I think. All EXCELLENT music.

I gave my opinion like you did, and this is chit chat threads cannot be derailed here, if they could some of the garbage you have posted in here would have done it long ago.

Since the cleavage thread has been removed I think you are just sexually frustrated & confused.

You are entitled to both.

stevie,s version is excellent..on par, stevie was maybee better technically/technique but jimi wrote it and was a real groundbreaker with what he did in general
no going wrong with either..both on the same high pedestal, its all art
there was a great guy between hendrix and stevie..robin trower
sourced of vinyl..just for eepee

hmm just noticed only 2 songs..heres the whole deal, the better or faster paced songs

Is THIS an rc??

to Showtime

My mistake, been awhile since I quoted here and confused the reply/quote options. As far as the tunes go, I like them all...however, like vehicle, beer, booze, rc and women go..it all depends on make, model and year.

Nirvana is another great band.
That whole unplugged is great (& we got the early guitar supporter Pat Smear on the Buck Owens.)
My favorite tho is this gem of a cover.

Bridge of Sighs is a classic turn up the stereo & turn of the lights, sit back & take the ride kind of album.
Great stuff there.
Many great guitarists lost in the shuffle of popular culture.
The first time I heard Roy Buchanan I was set back a bit, then to hear he turned down Keith Richards spot in the Rolling Stones I was floored.
What would the Stones have been like with this guy?
