40-45% voter turn out is a joke. So basically 60% are to stupid or complacent to exercise their basic duty as an american. That makes me sick.

some people probably shouldnt vote..half kidding here..our provincial govt is in serious trouble, been in power too long and seem to have forgotten any accountability..anyway they are considering changing the name of the party before the next election..like that has anything to do with the policies and way they do things that got them in trouble, what was amazing were the # of people that said they would change their vote based on this..not on policy but a name..these people should stay at home on voting day..scary thing is those are the ones voting

I am considering voting a straight anti-incumbent ticket this go round.

By the way to the op I fully agree that there needs to be term limits. The term career politician should never be a part of the American lexicon.

I also think we need to pass a bunch of campaign finance rules. I read an artical that mitt Romney is going to spend some thing like 80,000,000 (might have been 800,000,000 but that sounds high) to run for president. That's a problem.

Fawwwk yes! Clooney just raised 15mil for Obummer in one sitting.

I say let them spend $100....they get one webpage to tell us their ideas and we let people vote. No TV ads, no flyers, no superpacs, no harassing phone calls, no berating attackers as you try to enter a polling station.

THEN, maybe we will weed out the power hungry and get someone who actually gives half of a shit about the people of this country.
