Whats with the BEC "joke" going around? Whats the story behind it?

There are a 100 threads with guys asking if they need a BEC. These guys just like to joke about the "newbies" asking if they need a BEC

It's actually about a rant a member started back in 2010 maybe 11'.
Kept yelling "You need a BEC" etc. That's where the BEC joke came in. You might even find in chit chat classics. not to give it away and NO pun intended, but search "you need a BEC" in the electronics section or CC classics.

Yes, I had a Bacon Egg & Cheese.......it hit the spot!!

Do you need a BEC, unless you have heart/artery issues, it can't hurt......

[this is chit-chat...correct?.....yes it is.......hit "send"...]

PS, a lot of issues related to over ~200inoz servos are fixed by running an external BEC.

#1 question: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/sale/

#2 question: RCCrawler Brand Specific Tech - Axial AX-10 Scorpion at RCCrawler.com

-Be sure to use the search feature, it will save you from getting flamed. There is thousands, upon thousands of info on RCC, what ever you have to ask, probably has been asked and already answered. Welcome to the site.

Who would want to eliminate their battery with a BEC (battery eliminator circuit)?

What ya'll need is a SMPS (switching-mode power supply)...

If you're going to dig up an old thread, the least you could do is come up with a joke that's funny...
