I don't think retarded is the right word at all. I'm not sure it actually slowed it down. Maybe because its too wide for public roads it has to go slower but IDE say in an open space it might be just as fast.

Not sure about the rear, But I'll bet there is something bolted and/or welded to the axle c's and some sort of driveshaft between the u-joints on the corners that are conjoined........well, that would be if it was still 4wd.

It may have started life as (2) 2wds.

I want to know if it has 2 engines, will it do a burnout and will it fold up like a taco if you take it off some sweet jumps.

If the 3.8 stuggles with just the 4dr JK, I can't imagine 2 would be much happier in that pig.
