Chip was an excellent builder in both 1:1 and rc. he had some of the nicest trucks and I had the pleasure of owning his samurai for a little while, wish I still had it. I learned a lot from him here on RCC. Enjoy your trail riding in the sky my friend.. So young...   |

I didn't know the man, but it hits home, seeing as I am only 4 days his senior. I was born on January 23rd and can't even grasp leaving my boys and wife behind...

He will be missed. He was the first person i met who also shared a love of the hobby. A great guy all the way around, fond memories of comp trips. He is in a far better place now.

Having just lost my brother last Tuesday, I know the pain that you are feeling and would like to express my condolences. Good friends and family are the most painful losses. But be happy in the fact that you knew him and shared some great times together. I was not fortunate enough to spend time with my brother and have been regretting it every day. I have to imagine him in a better place and hope I will get the chance to see him again and say I'm sorry for not being there. I did not know Chip Cross, but to those that did, he seemed to have touched your lives in different ways and made a lasting impression on each and every one of you. And for that reason, he will never be gone, for as a part of you, he will last forever. Rest peacefully brother.

This is horrible , But I also have talked to him and was always a great person to have a convosation with. I used to tell him I hate when he sells stuff cause he was 1 of the builders that basically had an open check with me. Great person , great overall badass friend. Cheers to ya brotha .

Very sad indeed. Although I never had met Chip in person, I did have the pleasure of chatting with him on the phone and through PM's. And as said by just about everyone that has posted in this thread, he was genuinely a nice guy that would do anything for anyone. My best wishes to his family and Gods speed Chip. You will be missed!

It tears me up to learn that Chip has passed. He is a great man in all ways I can judge, and will be missed by so many. We have really lost a great man. I was fortunate enough to hang out with Chip at many events over the years. Always in high spirits, and always had some of the coolest rigs to share. I still have his Wreckluse that he fabbed up an interior for. Not only is the work top shelf, he refused to take much in trade even when I insisted it was too good of a deal for me. Rest well buddy. I have been so happy to see you live life fully these past years. Now I must find happiness knowing we won't meet again in this life. |
