When I heard the news yesterday that Chip had passed I was at a loss for words, I met him on another forum when I first got into RC Crawling and he was a great help with lots of great info, All though I never got to meet him in person we did get to talk on the phone many of times as well as through text and PM's, loosing Chip felt like loosing a brother to me and I am sure many others that he has touched in his life.

RIP Chip Zippy, it was a real pleasure knowing you. You won't be forgotten.

We had a moment of silence in Chip's honor at ECC last weekend on Friday and Saturday.

Like many, my relationship with Chip was only here on RCC...I was never fortunate enough to meet him.

It's always hard to hear of someone passing, and even more difficult when you see what a positive impact they had on everyone around them.

neven got a chance to meet him, but wish i had. read about him in CRAWL and seemed like a cool guy. saw him at KOH in front of the axial booth, was going to go say hi, but was kind of shy and didnt know of his medical problems at the time. looking forward to meeting you in heaven.

Sad thing to read, I haven't been over here in a while. I feel honored that I have had he chance to meet, talk, comp and dine out with Chip. He was a great guy. He will be missed.

Just heard about this the other day as I have not logged in for a while.

Chip you are a hero to many of us and many people could benefit by striving to be the type of person you were. I know I am better off for having known you for the few years that I did. You were the bravest, toughest guy I've met and you never needed to let anyone know just how tough you were. That's a true hero.

I will never forget my missed opportunity to be a part of your KOH adventure, I so wish I could have been there, but I am glad that you had good friends who were able to be there and make it happen.

All my love goes out to your family and friends. Gods speed #24, you will be missed brotha.

Wow.I hate to bring up an old thread.But just searched thru my old pm's and figured I would holler at this crazy fool(friend)on here.never met him in person.had a lot of deals on here with him and talked to him a few times on the phone.and pow a slap in the face and tears in the eyes.Sorry it is so late to respond,but prayers go out from my family to yours bud.

Same here. He asked me a number of questions about his health care treatments and we had planned to meet up when he came to Houston to receive the treatments, but it fell through...

I never knew Chip. I got into the crawler thing early on, then disappeared, as it just wan't my thing back then. But he must have been a helluva guy to have the friends that he still does to this day, that's a rare thing indeed. We should all be so lucky, though few of us will I suspect. Happy Birthday Chip, I'm raising a glass in your honor tonight.
