i have to give credit where credit is due. last week i bought a set of 4 SCX icon aluminum shocks from rc-recycler, they were new in bag unassembled. they were $12 cheaper than RPP and had free shipping. im sure parting out new kits is cheaper/ higher profit, than buying the parts individually from axial for him. anyway wanted to post. |

this guy bought (WON) a COMPLETELY built Losi LCC from me on fleabay, I mean everythng was done, EVERYTHING. had about 1200 into it. I know, a losi? lol. anyways, he won on ebay for the Losi and paid 250.00 shipped for it. I was not very happy but thats how it goes. I already knew about this guy and was more upset that he won it than anything else. week after it got to him he tried to make about $2500.00 profit on the parts. I was disgusted. Im on the side of not thinking this is ok, he takes advantage of people who dont know any better. |

Pisses me off because he's raping people so badly, granted if you're dumb enough to pay the price you deserve it, but dang!! The whole new bright jk body is just madness. I've never sold one for more than $110. And that was for a mint brand new body.

me too.. I agree but like I said there are people who just dont have a clue, new guys, kids, so on... I like to encourage people to join the fun not rape them of their money and throw them off. I think about 110 is the most I have seen them go for, besides this guy of course... seen decent ones sell for 70-80 bucks on here. its a free country (somewhat) so he can do what he wants but I really like this thread. I think its great to inform people of the MADNESS!! | |

I think it may be him. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/wante...mas-money.html EDIT: I posted up a comment without 100% proof therefor I'm editing my post. I'm sure I made a fool out of myself (isn't the first time and won't be the last), but I made a mistake and I'm owning up to it. I may have been wrong and I admit to the mistake. Really upsetting, kinda sad they he has to rip off someone new in the hobby. I just got into the scale scene about 4 months ago and I knew better than to pay those prices but for the people that don't know better I really feel bad for them. It's only hurting the hobby.

What gets to me about this price gouging is that people trying to sell something look at what their for-sale-item could go for. If they actually see these pieces selling for these prices they will try to follow suit. How many items are going to become more & more expensive this way? It could be a strategy to stock a boat-load of those NB JK bodies & then one-by-one buy them from himself at a high price under a guise to soon make them more valuable/profitable... yes?
