I missed that. Good thing you're giving Savox a second chance. I think you'll like them.

Unless you are powering it directly from a 2S battery, you will need a BEC.

Servo that will pull 6A or more when crawling + ESC that can only provide 1A of power to the servo = Likely ESC failure

^^ What SVT said.

Isn't upgrading fun Get a Castle WP BEC, Holmes Hobbies Bypass and then this will likely be the last servo you'll ever need.

Svt is correct you don't need it. I use a 3s and I wanted to up the voltage to the servo which is why use the bec. I did use a capacitor with it before I went with a bec to prevent the possibility of a brown out.

Savox sells rebuild kits. Maybe you can get one and get your money back for the new one

I don't like Savox. For their prices you can get better for nearly the same now. When Savox was newer they were cheaper, now that people began liking them their prices have raised to the point there are better options at the same price points.

Still wouldn't say they are a bad company or option, just getting to be higher priced means they have to beat better brands and in my history they do not.

An underpowered/budget servo will have a short life on a crawler. Crawlers (especially brushless 2.2 rigs) are hard on servos.

I used to run mostly Hitec servos, but have been switching several rigs over to Savox over the past year or so.

I know there are a few off brands such as Turnigy with the same or better specs at lower prices, but as far as big names go, who has comparable specs at the same price point?

What voltage are you going to run your 1210 on? 7.4volts as per the label on the packaging?

Get one. 1st time you stall it you will be upset. 6v vs 7.4v is like 2S compared to 4S. Not sure who does this but i do. Temp your servo after a run on 6v. When/if you get a BEC run it and temp it. Guarantee it will last a lot longer on a higher volt.
