| So how did the points work? Like who won each course and what does that mean also what was the scale break down for points? Alot to see but I think we would all love to see how it worked.

the way it worked out is we went through and found those who completed the most courses. or - least dnf's. both 1.9 and 2.2 came down to 2 rigs each... then we just compaired those 2 competitors course to course to see how they stacked up side by side. the one who won the more courses - won the trophy... it was easier this way due to only having 2 rigs to compair per class. if there would have been more per class to compair, then we would have gotten into more depth as far as time and such. Do to the nature of the comp, and the courses, how you tink it will go and how it actually goes is typically different on the first try. The Next one we do will be more orginized and such. Im still looking to make this a yearly event for the crawlerado crew. - Much like how they do the real thing. Now, my dreams, would be to get backed by the actual top truck challenge, have a remote location set up with perfect 1:10 scale courses, and have a national Scale Top Truck Challenge.... Have people submit their rigs and only 20 guys get voted in for 2 days of competing. Video and Magazine coverage woud be sweet. |

SO how many points did a DNF count as? are the points broken down like the comp series or is it the opposite? can you scan a score sheet in? Im just curious... so if some one does the best on two or three courses and DNFs two more courses does that mean they have no chance of winning? |

When a competitor DNF's in the 1:1 top truck events they get measured for distance to determine the placing for every competitor. I don't think there was a plan for DNF's in this event and distances were not measured. So they had to come up with a different plan. Like Mike said, it was simply an oversight because of this new style event. I've got some ideas how we can set up the scoring/placing that will make things super easy and fair. |

Yeah it just seems confusing, but I get what your saying. I just think placing could be easily over looked, for example, what if one guy killed everyone on one course and then got a DNF on another, then some guy who got a really terrible score on course one got another terrible score on course two, who would win?

| Small whispers, but nothing to where anyone has started making plans or even getting a location set up to start building an event. Dan from Finish Line RC and I have talked a little about it and he is willing to host the event, but there is a lot of work to do to get the courses set up and built. I honestly can't see it happening any time soon unless there are some who would be willing to volunteer there time to help build the courses. |
