Okay just a quick update to the tire rule for this Adventure. We WILL allow tire modifications.

"Tire modifications are allowed, however you CANNOT reduce or narrow a tire. Acceptable tire modifications would be sanding tread, cutting lugs, ect…"

So mod up if you would like. However you will not be allowed to run a narrowed or reduced tire, so don't even ask

Good day

For us in Switzerland this Event is a dream. Really, really cool!
In the first Swiss-Mountain-Crawl (http://www.swiss-mountain-crawl.ch) we made a Trailrun for Scalers with a Vehicle Scale Rating.

Now my question: how long should such a trailrun be? How are you doing this? I read something that you make three runs.

Thanks. binarydog

Well binarydog a trail run to us means that a group of us play follow-the-leader and when one guy cannot make and obstical he moves to the back of the line and so forth. A trail run may last several hours It's all for fun when the competition is over though.

The competition however will have 2-3 courses in the morning and 2-3 in the evening with a final 2-3 courses the following day. Each course will be about 6-10 min. long with anywhere between 8-20 gates. We have a judge on each course (depending on how large the event is) or if the turnout is smaller in numbers we'll run only 1 course at a time so that everyone can chat and watch the competitor run the course. Each driver runs the courses only once and then after there finished there scores are totalled. Following the competition we get together for a trail run as explained above.

Doese that help?

Thanks for the detailed information kaetwo! I looked also at the UTRCRC website and we have now many clues for our Event. I will post links to the videos after the event.

BTW: The first Swiss Mountain Crawl is at the same date as the The UTRCRC Scale Championship
I also hope for good weather for you!
