I dont have any problem myself to a 2.2 pro class. All it does is attract more members to be involved. I think Ben would agree that growth of our comps is healthy to the development and expansion of the Crawler world. bottom line is it should be about demand and I think that is what he is trying to pin point. its too bad more people dont add their opinion to this thread who are indeed Both Rock and trail crawler guys. I know there are a few of them here at RCCRawler that have yet to throw the two cents in the kittie. |

So would it be out of line to suggest doubling up comps on one day and have all four classes? If I remember right, pro comp was done except for the five on the final's course by noon. Maybe the same day as the xc/cc class? Or just run the xc/cc in with the 1.9 class with some huge bonus points for the tubed ifs chassis?

yes to all three, but I would come out just to run around. With that said, one of the best days I remember was the one year when sunday we just did a fun run. Maybe just leave it at 1.9 on friday, 2.2 on saturday, and figure out something "relaxed" for sunday, give everyone a chance to hang out. Maybe small events just for fun ( rock race, tug o war, etc...) I would do everything in my power to run all three classes, but some may not have the funds to do so. Not to mention, I'd like to bring out rigs - may not comp. with. While I enjoy the 2.2 pro class, it is a whole different game to me. Either way, I'm traveling the 2000 miles. I was thinking more about it today. If I had the choice, I'd bag the CC-01's, run 1.9's Friday, 2.2's Saturday, and have a Top Truck Challenge on Sunday .

It was stated earlier that there needed to be more opinions of people that run scale as far as 2.2 comp. I myself run and competed in both and being the Co-President of our local club, we never mix the 2.2 comps with scale as they are two very seperate events. The MSD Scale Nationals is just that, a Scale Nationals and I really would like to see more scale running at this event. Not that there was a lack of scale running last year, but it would have been a riot to run some more Another point is that it will allow the event coordinators to focus on scale and now have to worry about 2.2 comp details. So summarize... it's a scale event. Love the top truck challenge idea | |
