To be held at Finishline RC in Wheatridge, Colorado.

Alot of details have to be worked out but this is the first mention of this event to the general public and RCC members. I ask everyone to ring in and help determine dates and offer whatever help you would like offer.


Current Event information is as follows:
Sportsman rigs only.
Shaft driven. No MOA's.
2 Channel RC only.
All USRCCA limits and rules apply.
50-60 Drivers.
1st Annual event will not require qualification to enter.

Entry will open as follows:
Open registration to all Sportsman Drivers,,,Nationwide. No restrictions.


$25.00 Entry Fee. Entry fee will include participation shirt and decal.

4-6 courses. Top 3 Course drivers from each course qualify for the finals.

Top 10 Overall Drivers compete in FINALS course.

Top 3 Finals Drivers will receive Podium Prizes. To be determined.

Top 5 Finals Course Drivers automatically qualify for next Sportsman Nationals.

Payout/Prize detail will be determined at a later date but the top 10 Overall drivers and the Top 3 Finals Drivers will be receiving Cash and/or prize winnings, including but not limited to Trophy, Sportsman Shafty Nationals "Top Driver" Shirt, S.S.N. participation decal for your rig/pitbox. And More!

just to make sure. i can run my normal comp rig but disconnect the dig servo?

Tim,yes. All rigs will be checked by two Tech Marshalls at the beginning.

One will check overall characteristics of the rig to make sure they all fit guidelines and the other will check the dig condition of each rig. Your sign in sheet will have a check box for "MECHANICAL" and "F.W.B." FWB is Frame, Wheelbase, Body.

Now that's a good spot to hold a comp. Might as well sign me up, any comp at Palmer is waaay worth it.

Yes..those things will serve as filler events for those waiting to comp or those that have completed their courses. The side events will also be there for the people who arent competing in the Sportsman Nationals so that new comers and spectators can learn something or just watch something other than just the Crawling.

top 3 from each course

national style a tie is broken by last course ran

basically each course must determine its own top 3

sooooooooo,ties will be broken by time????
If so its gonna be paramount that time is as consistant as possible.
Maybe let spoters keep time,as they are closest to the action?

By the way,I really like the top 3 from each course idea!

How about a wild card?
each judge gets thier name in a drawing for 1 extra finals spot
