Wish I could make this but I don't know that I could make another trip west since I already have 2 in June/July planned......since the VP comp is in July and AWCC will probably be in June.....

I am trying to see what I can work out.

If so its gonna be paramount that time is as consistant as possible.
Maybe let spoters keep time,as they are closest to the action?

By the way,I really like the top 3 from each course idea!

How about a wild card?
each judge gets thier name in a drawing for 1 extra finals spot
The top driver to finals positions was revamped,,please reread Post 1.

We will be running a penalty judge and a time judge per course. The quoted post in this thread is from the original first post pre-edited version...sorry for any confusion.

So, 3 guys? 1 calling penalties, 1 keeping time, and 1 recording on the score sheet?

I've seen it run several different ways, and my advice is whoever is calling the penalties, make that their only job. I've been to major comps where the penalty calling judge also kept the score sheet or he also kept time. In both cases, I've seen several missed calls because they looked down to view the clock or look at the score sheet.

The Penalty Judge will do nothing but watch the driver. The Time judge will keep track of points on hte score sheet and watch time.

Hill climb
Tug-O-War
Truck Pulls
Tuning sessions,,,especially focused on link geometry for those who are interested.
How about a mini/micro side course, buck or two to run it best time/score of the day takes the purse... just a thought...
Also I'll volunteer to judge, or assist a judge as I have no experience judging...

Mini's...ie: 1.9's "the small Sportsman Class" are a part of the main stay National events and I wont get into that,,anyone who wants to run a 1.9 course and do a side thing is more than welcome to do so...this event however is gonna be centered on the Sportsman drivers and their rigs...but please adhere to this--->NO SIDE EVENT WILL INTERFERE with the main event.

I welcome you to judge or help course judge if you get or have experience at the time of the event...national level events, the SN's included should have qualified Judges and Marshalls making the calls. If you want to get some experience that I can varify with people then Ill be happy to include you in the ranks at the time of the event once I know,,,and the competitors can be comfortable knowing that you can judge without with confidence and accuracy.

On a main note,,,Ill add you to the Driver's list. Welcome.

Already was on the list #20... read through another of your threads and you had mentioned other events, you didn't want people to be bored... understand your logic about the 1.9, makes sense... just offering ideas, no intention to interfere...
Got about 6 more comps to go to before your event, will have time to learn, thats why I offered to assist, have assisted at local events, just never judged solo... I understand the national level logic and I too wouldn't want a noob making bad calls... Was just trying to throw out there that I"m willing to help, honestly can't wait to see everyone drive...

Whoops,,fixed it for me...dumba<<<--well you know where that was going..and believe me Im glad to see guys wanting to help,,you included. I just want to make sure that everyone knows that the number one concern for the event is that everyone gets a good day of crawling. Part of that is to make sure that people arent concerned about the Judges and Marshalls. Plus,,I odnt want the other Judges distracted when they are doing their courses wondering if this person or that is doing it right. mainline concerns wil be addressed at the Judge/Marshall meeting and then driver concerns wil be addressed at the Drivers meeting right before the event.
