Default Vendors, Permits and Fees

Hi all....

This event is looking to be a blast looking at the signed drivers so far and the terra firma that is Palmer Park.

I have talked to some people in recent weeks and this is where we stand as of now. I have found the insurance for the event to cover possible problems as well as talking to the Colorado Springs Parks Dept. about the event. The C.S. Parks Dept. requires a permit for vendors who want to sell and that permit is a blanket permit to cover all vendors attending the event. The Permit Fee is $250.00 for all vendors/one overall fee. If vendors want to attend this permit fee will be divived amongst the vendors who attend equally. This permit will also allow for banners to be put up on the premises however self supporting banners are required as attaching banners/signage to anything in the park is prohibited. Banners can be laid out and held down by rocks but they cannot be tied or otherwise attached in any manner.

The Parks application fee and damage deposit will be paid from RMDesignworks and entry fees...a 50/50 split. The remainder of the entry fees will be used for prizes, shirts, etc. including a payout to the Top 3 drivers.

Vendors.....Sponsorship Buy In to be announced soon.

Driver sign in and raffle ticket buy ins will open in a few short weeks.

I am in talks with 3 hotels about a group rate for the out of towner's too

Thanks to everyone for thier support and reading the thread and keeping this thing alive along with me.

Default Update

Here's the current info...

The event is on for sure. At Palmer Park.
We won't be having vendors on site due to permit prices, so this will be an all driver's event. Make sure you bring spare parts, Weather appropriate clothing, snacks including drinks.

RMDesignworks is sponsoring the major give-away. The main prize will be announced a little later.

Paid entry will be opened on April 1st and end April 30th...I will update the 1st post to show this info as well.

I am still looking for vendor sponsorship for the event which will get each vendor an appropriate position on the main banner and depending on the amount of sponsorship the vendor can send a banner for a course sponsor and will have pics taken with thier name showing with the drivers on course as well as the winner of that course.

I would still like to have 2 more Judges as well.

More info to come including vendor info...if a vendor wants to contact me feel free to do so by pm or email.... rmdesignworks@yahoo.com

Anyone know if there is room to park a 33' RV at the event or do i need to look for campground close by?

Ron...Ill make a reserved spot for your son...You can park the RV in the main entry lot at Palmer Park. You wont actually be too far from it....

Just FYI, to my knowledge there is no overnight camping in Palmer Park. You could park in the main PL during the day, but they have events and generally is pretty busy till sundown at the main PL even when they do not have anything going on. You could have issues getting out of the PL. You may want to find a campground, from what I know, there is not any too close to Palmer. Just a few things to think about.

I think youre right about the overnight parking but I also think we could get enough RC guys parked aroung that RV to get him out....Or maybe talk to a couple of the neighbors on Paseo about parking his RV down there somewhere during the event at least.
