Invertman is it going to be ready for the 7th?
We are just meeting at the site, not the station.

Hey guys,
Not sure if you'd be interested or not, but at Starved Rock state park along the river, there looks to be some pretty good terrain for crawling. Lots of rocks, busted concrete etc. I'll try to get there soon and snap some pics.

The comp course should be water free I have bridges that should span over the creek. It's just the after bash.

My brother and I went to that area once and came up with nothing. Even if there was something we figured that we can't really stand off the the walk ways. It came down to, to many people, to protected. Let us know if you find anything though. There is more then just Starved rock in that area we just have not been south to test them out yet.

Maybe I'll actually maybe perhaps come to this. And maybe bring my truck if it maybe runs.

i highly doubt the tuber will be done
for the next comp.
too much to do and not enough time to do it.
the sw2 is ready to go for the next comp though.

Made some progress on my 2.2 comp truck today... though I made some calculation errors and the center of the chassis is a tad over a inch to long. So I have to scrap it and start over again But at least I am able to test out the link and shock placement, along with tranny placement and drive shaft clearance. Things are looking good. I do want to change where I place the lower links, which will actually make the chassis easier to make.

No idea if this truck will be very comp worthy, but it should be a fun truck to drive :-P

Nope, don't want to post any pictures until the comp :-P

I did just finish putting on the rear 4 links though, and rear shocks. Starting to get a idea as to how I am going to design this truck now. And I am very confident that I will have a brand new tube frame ready for this comp, even though as of right now I don't have anything built Just the start of one that ended up being to long in the center, so its scrap now.

Anyways, hopefully I will be able to test run this by next weekend. I will do my best to get it back to a rolling chassis tomorrow, but it depends on how much time all the holiday crap takes.

I've completed that rope bridge. I just need to break it in all the way. The been driving my rig on it to settle it a bit. The bridge is really starting to sag I might have to add some extensions to it so its not so arched. Soya gave me the idea of making it adjustable that way it can be a normal bridge and a rope bridge by adjusting the tension. I put the 10 second video to tunes. That way you don't have to listen to a stripped servo or my low battery alarm beeping like crazy.

That bridge looks pretty good Ben, I don't think its to much of a drop yet. Though it would be cool to see a vid with something a little faster doing a flip off the other side :-P

That Bridge looks great Ben, perfect for that same area we had freetime's bridge at the last mcbride comp.
