Ben, I wasn't able to get any copies of our score sheets from Kevin before we have to leave.

I can come up with my own version and print it out. Don't worry about it.

Well despite the rain it was cool to see all the crawlers. Learned one thing, my trail rig is not competitive. Was still cool though!

It was nice to be able to see some of the scale rigs in person. That Jeep XJ is sick!

Agreed

Now you guys see why I call off so many comps that have a slight chance of rain.

Score sheets are piles of wet fiber, I'm not thinking I'll be able to read them. When they dry I'll try to figure who scored where for all interested.

Only one super truck made it through the super course. Because of repairs or water damage.

I simply tossed the lack luster scores from this comp and just went by the season standing for prizes. Not everyone ran, water damage occured to several rigs. People left after arriving and I don't blame them one bit.

Still had a decent time though, it was good to meet some of the veteran members again.

Remember to send Thanks via Pm's to the sponsors KevenLongisland with tcs and RCSLOT with well RCSLOT. It was so cold wet and windy I didn't make you guys go though the punishment of pictures that would have turned out like junk anyway. Thanks

Might throw down a GTG or two from now till next year. No more comps till spring though. Although a winter season did work last year, I don't find it worth it do to the constant date changes and weather threats.

I think Ben and I just agreed that we will not be returning back to that location anytime soon. The mud soot stuff is everywhere in the car on the shoes the trucks everywhere and it doesn't come off, just like last time only much much worse. The cost of driving that far, the $ chance we take driving that far. Hauling 60% of the total club members that distance only to find a location much like the rest, just isn't worth it. If you guys would like to hold a comp out there fine, it's just no longer worth it in our eyes. We'd rather just drive one more hour and be in MN where the real crawling happens.

Default Rainy comp

Mnster and crew thanks for setting up and trying to make it work to the very end. It's all the behind the scene stuff that makes this group click and fun to be around not to mention the wealth of crawling knowledge gained and shared at every comp. I guess it will be spring until we GTG again but that is not to say we may not have a fun run from time to time through the winter months keep us all in the the know.

Thanks guys, here are the only pics I have.

Scores for 2.2 read
Steve 31
Freetime 8 << 3rd place
Cole82 61
Jeremy 24
Etype -6 << Winner!
Jeff 26
Brushlessnut -5 << 2nd place

Super scores or what we had. Supers all came down with catastrophic failures when it was time to run.
Soya 27 << course was dry then but his rig was also the only one with no issues.
Mnster 58 << Front BL motor seized.
Steve 53 DNF<< had repairs
Freetime DNF< Brushlessnut DNF<< wet ESC wouldn't arm

Mud is everywhere in the car and in and out the box.

Wet coats

If your looking to thank RCSLOT the members name is: Ced RC

Thanks for coming to the event, your attendance made the trip worth it.

Mike, I forgot to give you your Traxxas metal universals, I'll give them to you the next time I see you.

Sorry it couldn't have been better. I tried to make the best with what we had.

Looking forward to the long winter 2.2 rebuild stage. Then the long spring and summer season of comps.

Here is how everyone placed.

24 points isn't too bad for my first course and no weight in the tires. Next year I'll do better! I'm getting some nice, heavy beadlocks to compete with.

I am going to crawl at mcbride or coralville the 1st or second. If anyone wants to come that is fine. I don't care about the park ranger I will crawl anyways.

Yeah I'm not sure what happened to my clod back there. Motor was hot as hell and hard to turn. But, I just now removed it and now it looks fine. Magnets are obviously weaker now, but yeah it works no binding at all. I took the can off and it's clean in there no damage at all. The axle rolls smoothly in neutral but if I give the wheels a quick yank I get a clack noise. Not a kind of gear strip noise either I have metal gears. I'm thinking maybe a bearing locked up in the case or something. This binding thing has happened a lot over this past season. It feels like the front motor just cuts out to 10% power. But, you go and turn the motor can and it feels locked up like. When I was in MN right before moab was the last time this happened. It feels locked up like then seconds later it's fine again. Maybe a bearing or something seized and melted the case away or something. I'll have to dig into it a little more this winter.

yeah. I would go over all the power wiring and make sure all the joints and connections are perfect.

When I stuck it in the car I noticed the motor was hard to turn with the battery unpluged. Yesterday it was locked up firmly when I placed it on the shelf. Went to take a look at it today and it fixed itself as it spun freely when I lifted it off the shelf. It's like it waits for some of the biggest comps of the year to rear it's ugly head again. Happened when I went to MN, at moab, and at the final comp. Was fine at devils lake, although it did knock out on me when we were way out on the trail. I feel like looking at it but it's just so much work to remove everything. It is really bothering me though so maybe I'll look at it now.
