Also got the Spektrum rx and tossed it into the Slash for a test run. Bound right up and work great as well.
I am interested in how you wired it after the switch. I have found that the red wire needs to have power on it when you turn off the main switch. Otherwise any changes you made as far as set up and trims would not be saved. Well that is the case with mine anyhow.

Let us know which wires you tied into and if you are having any issues with saving changes.

Thanks Marc

Ha! I didn't know that. I guess I'll have to check...

edit: though now that I've had a moment to think about it...if that were true wouldn't you lose everything when you changed batteries?

Nope not lose everything. But if you made a change say steering trim from 0 to 20 If you were to just unplug the battery when you plugged the battery back in and turned it on your trim would not be saved and be at 0 still.

Its like the red wire having power prompts the controller to save any changes when you power down with the switch.

Does this make sense?

Ok here the first post explains it better than I did.

So I thought I'd do some crawling today, grabbed the radio and it was dead. Pulled the battery, tested it, and had 4.2v.

Oops.

Looks like I'm going to have to wire it back the way it was and remember to unplug.
