I think i stuffed an extra transceiver in there before.

On a side note, UpGrade-R/C quit carrying the Wraps for the React

I talked to them a few weeks ago and this is what they replyed with:

" If you go have the Nomadio React radio, then we can
make skins for that radio. If you go to our website www.upgrade-rc.com
you can pick any of the radio skins. Since the website doesn't have
your radio on it could you please email me your order. If you
have any other questions please let me know. Thank You."

Default Help!!!

Guys,

Probably not the right place for this but, as we're talkin Nomadio...

I was in a hurry hooking up my new car and plugged the battery into the "POWER" socket on the Nomadio transceiver. 2 seconds later there was a fizz and a pop, a tiny flash and a teeny weeny whisp of smoke. Needless to say, it doesn't work any more.

Anyone know where I can get a new one?? I'm in the UK but I'm prepared to pay shipping from anywhere.

BTW, The damage seems to be to one of the capacitors on the board. I'd appreciate if somebody could post a pic of the board as I've no way to identify it now but should be able to replace it if I can.

Cheerz!

You can use some Spektrum rx's (see page 1 or 2 of this thread), and there is someplace that does still have the Nomadio transcievers, but their name espapes me at the moment. Try a google search...

I thought the cable in the compartment was for using the react as a pc game controller.

This is a mod I did a long time ago React thumb wheel mod

Any dsm 1 ground spektrum rx will work with the nomadio as will the losi dsm rx's.
I also have moved the usb jack the the slide out box, it makes it real eay to change the settings and cleans up the batt comp.

I have been running a venum 5 cell hump pack 1200mh that I removed the heat shrink and folded the one battery over to make it a flat pack...best 12.00 investment made on my react.Fits in nicely, and last forever. The react is based off of voltage when it gets close to 4.8 or so it no worky so well so adding more Mh in the 4 cell config doesnt help.Going 5 cell increases voltage and hence longer run times before the radio gets funny 5 cell isnt pushing the limit and eliminates the need for a BEC

Fishskins will make you custom skins for the react, see page 7 post 135 for a pic of his work on my react Fish Skins

I tried that with mine...used a Traxxas rx pack...the radio didn't like it and went bonkers.

Note, the extremely cheap/easy battery voltage readout I discovered too.

It runs my React at ~6.08v. I read on the Nomadio board to not push it over 6v. But it's been 7 months at the volts above with no issues.

Nomadio React Users...Lipo Battery Option
I just got this installed in my radio and everything seems to be working well.

Thanks again for the info!!

Awesome! Just check your lipo voltage everynow and then. Or try to setup the React failsafe to alert you when the rx voltage is below 6v. I tried but not too hard. I just check the lipo with a meter.

Yeah, I'll probably charge it before every comp...and we hold one every month, so I should be good.

It would cycle on and off every couple of seconds. Just kinda spazing out.

Got my CCBEC installed in my radio. Made room for it in the handle and wired it after the switch so I don't have to worry about unplugging it all the time (I tend to be forgetful once in a while). Works great!

Also got the Spektrum rx and tossed it into the Slash for a test run. Bound right up and work great as well.
