start by checking that your throttle trim is set to center. if it's way off it can cause that. also if you have the castle link check the settings in the esc. my mmp has settings for reverse strength and brake-reverse throttle curves. if they have been changed or lost their settings it will cause no reverse. that would be a start.

I hooked it up to castle link tonight. And the reverse was set at 100 percent. The throttle trim is also set to center. Is it possible that the motor is going bad?

that's what it sounds like to me. is the throttle trim on the radio set to center?

Have you checked what the timing on the motor is set to? If its set to a lot of advance it will be slow in reverse.

If you aren't sure how to check the timing, have a read of this thread: Caring for your new Brushed motor
