you have to set it up like trim tabs on a boat that will give you proportional control but it wil have to be centered manualy or mix the 3rd channel and steering but then you lose the indepent control

you should be able to do either with a dx 3 do you still have your manual for our old jr radio? alot of their radios program the same too if not i can walk you through it i have one for the xr3i which is the same programming as the xs3 without the channel selection option the dx3 has the same basic programming as the xr and xs systems just an older case

i do still have the manual. i've been through it several times. there are three modes for the third channel. one is turned off, the other is a two position setting such as i use for my emax for shifting from low to high gear and the third is a linear servo setting. the manual talks about this being for fuel settings on boats. it seems like this one didn't do anything when i tried it, but i'm not sure.

Mix the third channel with the steering and than set the radio to the servo reversing screen on the third channel and you can toggel between crab (oppasite)and oblique (same direction) for the rear.

If i had a buyer for my 3PK radio with spektrum module, i would buy the Sensor radio. I just like all the bells and whistles, but i am not gonna spend that money without re-couping some of it from a radio that is already awesome. I should have bought the Sensor in the first place when i decided to go 2.4

I posted in this thread too Picked up and modded a DX6

I'll put the bind plug on and power it up through my SR in the throttle channel, and the amber LED flashes......I hold the bind button on the radio and power it up while holding the button for 5 sec. and the LED still flashes. I power down and unplug the bind plug and power everything back up and I get no LED's and no control functions at all....... What do I need to do?:-(

I don't have one but I'd call Horizon hobbies and ask them.
