Default Battery(s) Question...??

I have been using a BIG and heavy (312g) Traxxas 5800mah 25C 2-cell battery in my Wraith, mounted up front for better weight distribution. Could I use one of these Deans Shorty Y connectors to hook up two smaller and lighter (163g total) HH 1300mah 35C 2-cells in my rig?

as long as they are made so the 2 batteries are + to + and - to -, so the batteries are in parrallel which would make your 2 1300 packs act like 1 2600mah 35c lipo

Thanks for the reply. I sent an email to Holmes Hobbies asking IF one of these would work for two batteries into one ESC and if they plan to stock them. He replied this morning saying that they do not stock them, and they are not intended for dual batteries, but that Maxx Products does stock them.

I then contacted Maxx Products and was told that they have several applications that WILL work for two batteries (in parallel) into one ESC. One a wire with three plugs on it and the other #7942 a short 3-way plug. I ordered the plug and hopefully this will be an easy way to lighten my load by using two 1300mah batteries while upping my C rating.

Those actually look pretty cool, I just use the Traxxas parallel connector or make my own but those connectors you posted would save some wire mess for sure..

That is why I am going to give this a try, and hopefully clean up some of the clutter in the battery compartment.

To answer my own question, and if anybody else was wondering....I got the 3-way plug (#7942) from Maxx products, and it in fact does work GREAT to hook up two identical batteries in parallel. Now I can run one 1300mah 35c, or two 1300mah 35c batteries for 2600mah, or use the big dog 5800mah 25c.
I like having options
