| Mamba Max SCT w/ 1410 3800 sensorless
So I bought a Mamba Max SCT kit. It included a 1410 3800 sensorless brushless motor. I didn't realize that it was sensorless when I bought it. I have a two speed Summit trans in a tube Jeep. The trans is geared really low in the "low" gear. I thought that I could get a bit of speed out of it with a brushless, but it won't crawl for crap. I still have a brushed motor that I could hook up to it. Before I do that, I wonder what effect gearing it way down will have on the motor and ESC. Will they overheat? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. I don't really have the extra coin to just buy a 13.5T Tekin. |

motor might heat up a little from just high revving for long periods of time, but you could remedy that with a larger pinion, unless you don't plan on running it wide-open most of the time

Thats sort of what I'm looking for. I want a smaller pinion to make it slower. If I can make it crawl at all, it definitely won't be a full throttle very much.
