Default what bec to get?

hi everyone. i plan to get the axial wraith kit and buy the venom waterproof esc combo with the 540 55t brushed motor and a Hitec HSR-5995TG Digital Robot Servo. i already have a futaba 2.4ghz 3pm-x transmitter and reciever. i have 2 venom 5000mah 6 cell nimh batteries and 1 venom 4200mah 7 cell nimh battery. i the hitec servo im getting is a little over 400oz so i want to know what kind/ brand of bec to get. i just did research bc i didnt know what a bec was but now i do i just need advice as to which one to get. i didnt do too much research other than what they are and what theyre for. any and all advice would be great. thanks. -josh-

Looks to be the Novak, Ace RC, and Great Plains/ElectriFly models are limited to 6 volts output. Be a shame to have a nice, H/V servo like you got and not be able to feed it the voltage to make it shine.

Yes, the Castle needs a CastleLink to adjust voltage, but it can be programmed for the 7.4 volts your servo can handle.

Or you can order it from Holmes Hobbies and he will program it for you before he sends it out.

okay. thanks everyone looks like im getting a CC BEC. i already have a CC castle link. is it the same thing as the one you get to program the mamba max pro esc and if so, is it easy to program the BEC for 7.4volts?

Output voltage is the only thing you can adjust on that. If you can program a Mamba, this should be no problem.
