| DX7 dual winch help please!
Looking for some one that knows how to set up dual winches with the DX7- I would like to use the gear switch or elevator dual rate switch as the toggle between front and rear winches and the flight mode switch as the line in/ line out- I think it needs to be: prog mix flap to gear on rate +100 then: gear to flap on rate -100 or something there abouts- can anyone advise? I can help a little more when I get home but you want to set up a mix so that the flap controls forward, backward, and stop. Make on mix for the Front winch (ex Flap to ...... +100 / +100 Make a separate mix for the rear winch (ex Flap to ....... +100/-100 Then assign the gear channel to activate the different mixes. The only problem with this is that I don't think you have two option with the gear channel when assigning to mixes. You may be better off to assign the Winch to one of the sticks that you are not using (perhaps rudder?) Then using the Flap to control front or Back. I am almost 100% positive this setup would work. Mix 1 Rudder to (winch 1) +100 +100 Flap 0 Mix 2 Rudder to (winch 2) +100 +100 Flap 2 Hope this helps. |

thanks for the help, i would really rather not use the rudder if at all possible. (unless through a toggle the rudder could be turned off entirely while driving?) still playing with it now, and its getting the best of me- therer is a G6 down here tomorrow and if this stuff isnt working right i dont want to go- would appreciate some more help if you can spare it! With the flap in the neutral position it should make the rudder do nothing, up would be front, down would be rear. Give it a try see if it works. |

tried it, just as you said, and what I have is rudder is front winch (all the time) which isnt bad as it doesn't come on until I deflect the stick 30* or so- rear winch is on the toggle- line in, off, line out. its suitable for now! I really appreciate the help! L.R. |
