you may need to recalibrate your transmitter to the esc if you haven't already..?.. also you shouldn't ever turn the radio off first..turn the truck off then your radio..i think you can set the failsafe mode also, so it's in nuetral or full brakes are applied..maybe check the manual for that

Do u have the castle link and software on your pc? You may need to go in and reset the esc to default settings. Was the esc new or used?

Brushless, is it sensored? It sounds like it is not cause that "jumping" is coging. Also that is a very high kv motor even for a trail truck.

Getting a lower kv/sensored motor will fix the problem.

here's a video of what happens exactly, the 1st im moving the throttle very slow

the 2nd one i have the throttle steady and just holding the truck back its like a mad dog.

i also have castle creation in field card.
i know the kv is too high, i got mamba max pro with 3s lipo 5000, i need a slow motor with high torque, what would be good with my esc and 3s lipo?

castle brushless products are uncensored(lots of coging/jumping at low speed)..... not designed for low speed crawling, more designed for high speed bashing/racing. if your going brushless in a crawler you need to get a censored motor and ESC.

I had run a 18.5 Novak in my sportsman rig and then in one of my trail rigs and it worked really good.

Sounds like you need to get into the ESC programing with a castle link and do a little fine tuning. As for the ballistic motor, I don't have any experience with them, but maybe play with the gearing a bit to see if that helps as well. Make sure you only change one thing at a time before testing, that way you will know what helps and what hurts
