Default Bec help please

Hey guys I'm having an issue with my bec. I have it all wired up but when I plug in the battery and turn it on everything lights up but the esc doesn't "arm" and I don't get any servo or motor response. I have tried plugging the bec into different aux ports in my receiver I have tried plugging it in forward and backward and still no response I ha e rebound it a couple times also

Have you calibrated the esc's to the radio? Also, a picture of the setup might help. Clearly showing the wiring layout if possible.

occasionally i get this problem which i just redo the one-touch setup which seems to do the trick?

BEC wired directly to battery +/-

if you have the output power connected to the Rx make sure you disconnect the signal from the esc

if you have it wired directly to the servo, then bring the power from the bec to the servo, and from the servo to the esc the signal into the rx

Bad BEC?
Did it work before you waterproofed it?
Are the red/black wires soldered in or crimped to your power cables?
Have you tried changing the location of the BEC and soldered directly to the ESC?

Bec worked before waterproofing the green led was lit. It is soldered to the battery plug and the esc's red wire is removed from its plug I plug the esc into the throttle lead and the bec has been plugged into the bind/batt lead and both aux leads and still nothing

Sounds like the external BEC either has a bad connection or it's dead.

Some "waterproofing" shrinks when drying, when it does, it pulls bits of the PCB killing the device.
Part of why I sorta hate waterproofing (or, getting electronics wet).

This makes me think there is a missing connection somewhere in or to the BEC. It should fail when you re-connect the red wire back up.
You might want to pull it out and do a direct connect test to the ESC +/- to see if it works then.
It is sounding like a bad BEC.

Could be a the BEC is bad but if the CC BEC green light is on the but nothing works unless you re-plug in the ESC BEC then there is probably a bad connection between the CC BEC and the plug that goes to the RX. Unless it's in the wire which is unlikely, to fix it you are going to have to remove the water proofing. Most likely you broke a solder joint to one of the wires or something like that when you water-proofed it. Possibly you caused something to short together which the green light does not detect but that seems a bit less likely. Can't know until you take a look.

The other possibility is that you have the wiring wrong. The +v red wire should be on the center pin of the RX connection. The -ve black wire should be on the pin that lines up with the other black or brown leads to your servo(s) and ESC. There should be no wire from the BEC to the signal pin (the one that lines up with the white or orange wires to you servo(s) and ESC)

If you have a voltmeter then you could check if the BEC is providing any voltage and if the wires have good continuity before you de-waterproof. If you don't have a volt meter I suggest you get one for the future. You can get something adequate for not much money. I don't have this one so it's not a recommendation but here's a cheap example to give you an idea...

I thought you said the RX worked when using the red wire from the ESC to RX.

Well it did and the green led on the bec lit up but today absolutely nothing from the bec no light nothing and the receiver had no lights on it either I even plugged in a different esc and still nothing I'm baffled so I'm going to replace the receiver and bec and start over again hopefully it was just some fluke thing
