Throttle cutting out while steering.

Just got my G6 kit together. Used my AE2 outta my basher and soldered a rc4wd 35T motor to the esc. Brand new HK metal gear servo 260oz @ 6v.

Wired it all up, and it cuts out at full throttle while steering.

Means the servo isn't getting enough juice? or visa versa?

The weird thing is. My basher has the same servo. But never did it. But I was using the axial 27t, which is the only difference.

Possibly getting close to cut off voltage on the battery?

Tried different batteries. I'll try my Axial receiver instead of my new flysky one (the one that supports higher voltage) and see what happens

Oh maybe it's an ABS setting on the transmitter? Are you running the throttle channel in reverse by chance ?

I will try fiddling with the settings. Throttle might be reversed, and will check the ABS. I think it copied the settings from my SCT.

No ABS, but no matter what i do, i have to set both channel 1 and 2 to REV, otherwise NORmal is backwards.

No juice when turning is called a brownout, due to AE2 not being able to supply consistent power.
A BEC or powering servo independently is your solution.

Just got my HH Esc and Motor, and the servo was still causing brown outs without a BEC. So i decided to try my basher's servo, which is the same exact servo but older. And not a SINGLE brownout. I think I will email Hobbyking and arrange a possible replacement. I know, I know, I will still get a BEC later on, just can't afford it after spending 800 bucks on this rig :P

Consider this ,I just built a scx10, AE-2 ,35t motor ,using a Hobbico CS-170
It worked fine ,,Low voltage servo,,Wasnt getting the throw out of the servo arm ,,blue shorty,, So I went with a CYS S2215 HV ,,Dang servo went ,jittery ,bad throttle response,steering cut out ,,Added new BEC cleaned it up and can use 3s ,,Works great ,,,HV servo's need BEC ,
When I turn one into a winch the board is gone so dont matter much ,,I would say it lays in the board,needing the higher voltage ,,,

Haha yeah... I know, couple weeks. But I'd have to buy 2, and have the programmer as well.
