Yes you do need a bec... Any servo with 250oz of torque or up will need a bec. Last edited by pajey; 03-04-2014 at 09:45 PM. |

Nope. All the hundreds of people who post the same question, every week, and get the same answer "yes" are wrong. Personally I run a 45 watt solar panel from Harbor Freight without issue. As long as the sun is shining, and nobody trips on the 200 feet of power wire dragging around.

I now wire a BEC to my BEC, just in case.

With that servo regardless of the voltage yes you need a BEC. Also, anytime you run over 2s with the fxr you will want a bec to take the load off the internal one and help reduce heat that buiilds up from the internal trying to do work.... At SZCZERBA... are you serious ? I also run an extra BEC in a few rigs but not wired in parallel, just have it on board and ready to plug in if there is a failure. |

Problem with all these people who see the thousands of builds all using a BEC, and then swear they can get by without on, think they are living in the Matrix and that there is no spoon. | |

A Bacon Electronic Cooker is nice to have but not really necessary. I personally cook my bacon the old fashion way, over an open pit bbq! YEEH HAW!
