Default New Yeti with servo issue, need help.

Hello,

I just finished an East Coast G6 and it was nasty, wet fun.

The issue is that about 3/4 of the way through after about 3 hours my steering started going weird. It started by not letting me go left, I could go right no problems but I would try to go left and it would just go to center.

Eventually it just stopped and I couldn't move steering at all with wheel, it would move a but with trim but it was buzzing and twitching.

It is all stock except I did install a CC BEC set at 7 v.

I've thought the servo was shot and got wet but then I pulled it and put it on my wraith and it worked great, pulled cover and internals were dry as a bone except for the new grease, no moisture.

Put wraith servo on Yeti and it was acting up like the stock one did so I know both servos are good.

What could it be? The ESC is supposed to be waterproof and throttle works no problems, I eliminated the BEC and it's still doing it and the radio box was bone dry with nothing inside it either.

I'm confused, could water have gotten in the actual handheld controller and cause this kind of thing?

Thanks for the help.

You could open the TX and see if there is water on anything. Maybe a shot of electrical cleaner and/or compressed air would fix it.

I'll check it out, the RX was dry as heck! It's getting perplexing.

Awesome!

I found the issue, the controller is bad as it got water in it from the rain! I just bound my wraith controller to the tie and it works perfect!

Easy fix now!

I'm having the same issue. I'm very new at this so just to confirm you mean the ESC was bad when you say controller? Is there another way to test it if I don't have a spare ESC laying around? Thanx!
