Default confromal coating my CC BEC question.

So I ordered a motor, ESC and BEC from HH and forgot to check the box to waterproof the BEC. So I am picking up some Silicone conformal coating to water proof it. My question is how to go about it. I havent cut the shirnk wrap off the CC BEC yet and was wondering what to look out for. My plan as it stands now is, cut shrink wrap, coat, cure and put more shrink tubing on it. does that sound right? Are there parts I should leave uncoated like the caps or the like?

I just did my CC BEC today with the urethane conformal coating. Your plan of attack is good. I coated everything like I do with all my electronics and I'll simply wrap it all up with electrical tape.

Coat it all real good with multi thin coats. You will be good. If you have enough ...... Fill container and dip it in..... Let dry and continue.

I filled both ends of the shrinkwrap with liquid electrical tape that way I didn't risk breaking anything trying to cut the wrap off.

Just waterproofed mine last night. Agree with JokersWild. I cut off the shrink wrap and dipped it into my small container of silicon conformal coating. Will wait 48hrs and dip it again. Once that dries I'll shrink wrap it again.
