i knowi been asking this question many time before too but it never seem to sink in.
To me it's mambo jumbo words jargon and numbers.
I came across this thread because i forgot what the BEC was used for what ever that means....Was it "Buy Electric Current"....S
I came upon this topic at the right time...
So why is it when we buy a RTR we never need a BEC and some RTR can be exspensive with no BEC.
i been wheeling for a while now and never use a BEC in any of my vehicles.
Wouldn't it be on the size of the c's on the lipo's like 20C-60C assuming your using lipos....the higher the # means more juice
I"ve never burn out a Traxxas 2075 servo yet and i run the crap out of slash and my SCX10 has the 2056....same goes for the Exo which has the Mamba Max Pro 3000Kv motor using the BMS 621MG Blue Bird servo at 100oz torque at 6.0 volts...
Even those i ask a stupid question does this only applies to 100.00 to 200.00 servos.....cause i like cheap servos

If it is a Castle Creations BEC. You can adjust the voltage out put with a castle link to get the most out of your servo.

I probably already know what I should do, but I'd like someone to confirm anyway.
Say I needed to extend the leads to my receiver from my heyok bec, now the servo wire I purchased wasn't an extension, but rather a replacement, so I gotta ask are most of you guys removing the power wire if youve extended the receiver wires to, and from you becs? Cause I haven't so far, I just folded it over, and covered it with shrink wrap, but upon closer inspection it looks to be still taking power from the receiver, and its starting to melt the shrink wrap I covered it with.

^^this would have been avoided if I didn't have to try and stuff the biggest damn battery I could find into my wraith.......or if I used my space more wisely, but the snow melted, and I just had to play....revisions come later.
